He shouldn't have been shunned as he was found not guilty and was a huge part of the early days and has a number of links to key characters. He's the only big name missing as a returnee. There is nobody else to his level that's missing. He is easily the biggest name missing when it comes to what's been achieved away from the show.
 
All the men from the 80s are blurring into one for me, I really thought Shane Ramsey was Guy Pearce (couldn’t pick him out of a line up sorry) 😂 Then I saw the previews and flashbacks and realised there’s a Mike, Des, Shane etc etc. It does really make me want to watch from the start as I can only remember mid 90s onwards

The main thing I remember about Joel is him crashing his car in water and Karl being the only doctor in a 100 mile radius has to give him a tracheostomy (sp) 😂😂😂

I agree I'd love to have seen him back he was such a big character!
 
There is a scene from years ago, that no one else seems to remember..Harrold is in the kitchen of the coffee shop and the dishwasher breaks..foam and bubbles are everywhere and he emerges from the shop covered!
 
Got my t shirt to wear whilst watching the finale, also extra tissues for all the tears.

I’m back into this after about 10 years (for the final week obvs) - Joel (Dan MacPherson) was literally my (gay) sexual awakening. Literally the hottest guy ever.

anyway, I’ve binged the past couple of weeks and it’s been amazing to see some old faces (started watching probably around 1992) and the show itself is just so warm! Really sad it’s ending as I would certainly continue.

p.s surely the ending will be Kylie and Jason turning up as theyve bought the last house on the street?

p.p.s Izzy (Isobel) is the absolute BEST!
