there’s a thread ongoing for about 3 months that’s driving me mad.
poster is awaiting sentencing for fraud, having stolen a significant sum of money from her employer, whilst being in a position of trust.
they’re all thinking of her, praying she gets a suspended sentence, saying she doesn’t deserve prison, hope she doesn’t lose her lovely new job etc
anyone who dares disagree or suggests maybe the victim has a different point of view is being jumped on.
I work on fraud cases and sometimes they’re the worst, because it’s someone they’ve trusted and it hits really deep. Especially when it’s all their money, or enough to bankrupt their small family business.
I hope she gets what she deserves, whether that’s a suspended sentence or time. If prison is on the table then I suspect it’s not an ooh sorry, moment of madness issue, and there’s more to it than o/p is letting on.
Willing to bet if it was them who’d been cheated out of money by someone they’ve trusted trusted they’d be baying for blood.
