I loathe the inheritance threads. Why do adult children think they are entitled to other family member's money? My mum and stepdad are in their 60's. They are mortgage free. They have a lovely car, a motorhome, a boat, and travel a lot. Mum still works part time, dad is retired. Do I think they should be living more frugally so that my sisters and I can benefit from their cash when they die? Do I bollocks. They deserve to enjoy every day, they have both worked hard - but if I were a mumsnetter, I would be getting told how selfish they are. Personally I hope they live until they are in their 90's having had the most fantastic retirement years, with nothing left in the bank.
