They’re weird about bikini’s. One minute it’s wailing about how women and girls are expected to expose themselves and it’s WRONG, they’ll have to SHAVE- the next is they wouldn’t dare wear a one piece, it’s so frumpy, a bikini is much cooler in hot weather and they’d feel silly on the beach when everyone else is in a bikini.

I was about to announce I have never worn a bikini, but that's not true.

I wore one once. It was part of a fancy dress outfit (think the girl from the Turkish Delight advert, complete with yashmak and silk cushion).

It garnered me second prize. Some lassie dressed in an off-the-peg outfit got first prize.

I was enraged at the injustice. My wee Gran had specially turned some net curtains into pantaloons for me!!
