Luckily for baby O she may well be seen nice and quick.
Different areas will have different wait lists.
unfortunately the more affluent areas do have a quicker response a lot of the time. Less wait lists.
this is in part to because some people if they can they will go private also some well paid jobs have private insurance.
My son had CMPA along with other allergies and it took 8ish weeks to even be referred to the dietary team.
then more allergies came out and we was shifted to the allergy team which took 3 months.
then another 3 months for a blood test.
(never referred to peads only for blood tests)
Just before his 1st birthday confirmation of egg and diary allergy. Still won’t accept he’s allergic to plasters
They was told another blood test to follow up at 2. He’s just turned 3 and just had it.
now for the wait for sin prick tests.
my son has also had tonsillitis 8 times in the space of 7 months
he can’t breath through his nose now and has constant swollen lymph nodes due to massive swollen tonsils.
he was referred aug 23. Wait time of a year… still not heard anything yet. And when I ring they say they are at XYZ month…
And this is after being accepted for the funding for surgery
so the struggles are real.
unfortunately my area is a deemed a “working class area”
so we seems to have very long wait times.
but not everyone area does.
