£65 bleeping pounds for a plain white shirt ????!!!!!!

BLASPHEMY.

I’m not tight with my money and like an above poster said I genuinely don’t mind spending more if it’s an item I know I’ll mix and match with lots of things and the quality is good. But this is just ridiculous and greedy. She could have still kept the price point high for the luxury feel and experience she’s trying to go for but for the BASIC items of the launch to be THAT expensive is just sheer greed. That shirt doesn’t need to be anymore than £30/£35 at maximum if it’s good quality.

I can understand things like jeans and blazers and kitted items being more expensive, they are at most retailers. They cost a lot more to make. So i do understand sometimes blazers being around £100. But for a basic plain white shirt and basic ribbed tops to be £50-£70 is scandalous.

Greedy bleeping cow.

I saw a lot of people in the Maebe comment section claiming the prices are valid because of the high quality. How can they say that when the brand hasn’t even launched yet and we have 0 details of what it’s made of 🤔

Also, there’s nothing worse than jeans being in “clothes size” waist and leg length is a MUST

Some of the brain-dead comments from her fiat 500 followers on her latest post about pricing:
  1. It's for a certain calibre of people
  2. It's going to last a long time that's why its expensive
  3. It's not fast fashion
  4. Shop at boohoo if you don't like it
These girls/women are delusional. It's probably sewn together 2 factories over from PLT. Any brand that is "slower" in releases and providing decent quality will make a statement on sustainability and materials used i.e. are they recycled, etc. It's also not filling some unique gap in the market, the stuff is basic & she's playing it safe. I'm super curious to see what the stock levels are like. I can guarantee she'll be doing the "release 200 units and then act like everything sold out in record time" marketing method.

Molly is surely not a size 14-16. Don’t understand these Maebe sizes at all! I am a size 10 and if I was to hazard a guess I’d say Molly is too. Really strange flex!

Wow when I saw them prices 😮 people comparing the jeans to Levi prices. Levi is an established brand not molly mae from love island

Yeah, this is what I find curious about the white shirts - there’s plenty of premium £low hundred shirt brands that do the job really well it wouldn’t be my first choice (personally, and no one is buying my clothes so who cares lol).

I know fast fash has polluted our collective brains and not everyone may be aware of the importance of material composition or construction, but I’d rather bet £100 on a sure horse? Then again it’s the fomo/her/ppl buy a feeling not necessarily a product so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also just don't know who her target market is? Obviously braindead Fiat500s will be buying these on Klarna, but who exactly is she trying to appeal to?

The clothes are horrible. Just who is going to wear them?
I feel like her and Tayla are the same in that they’re trying to portray ‘luxury’ brands but the only people buying it are their brain washed insta huns

A lot of high priced fashion labels, still use sweat shops to make their garments. I could understand if the blazer was made in the UK, from a British wool blend but, we all know the label will say : made in China; India; Vietnam. I would hope the cropped cosy cardigan is a blend of cashmere/angora/alpaca for the price. Levi's super wide leg jeans are £20-£30 cheaper than Maebe. She's not even got an established brand yet! She's upset a LOT of her followers, who seem to be university students or on an average UK wage. Molly Mae has no idea about her demographic and seems to be appealing to other blonde haired, G Wagon/Range Rover driving, beige/white interior obsessed youngish influencers! Her sizes appear to be non inclusive. I don't know why MichelleJulietNaylaa is wetting her knickers for the Maebe launch. She claims to be a size 18 though
