It’s that whole ‘See, I’m fine, my boyfriends amazing, everything’s good’ facade that she throws up.
She’s been very open about struggling with the birth and Bambi but I don’t think she can admit it with how useless tommy is
I don’t think she can admit it to herself never mind the internet. She made out in the villa like she had zero tolerance for any less than desirable behaviour which is a far cry from him moving out as soon as the baby’s born to prepare for a fight.

She’s just pumped 4oz I think she’ll be ok. Doesn’t really matter what the baby has as long as she is fed
It actually does matter. If shes still planning on BF or exclusively pumping, randomly giving formula can make the babies tummy quite poorly. It takes a while for babies tummies to adjust to formula. It's a shame she hasn't done more research into breastfeeding to understand cluster feeding is normal and formula was not necessary.

It’s so weird seeing her walking around somewhere where I spent many days of early mat leave drinking coffee and mooching! I never knew she was so local to me.

Re the BF it’s sad her seeming lack of knowledge about clustering just perpetuates this idea that you have to do things other than just putting the baby to the breast to build supply. (Obviously in some cases more is necessary and I’m unsure if she is exclusively pumping but to the random passer by it’s not at all clear and just looks like the usual trope of “boobs failing so needed to give formula”

Oh she’s 100% lying to herself- I think she thinks if she does it enough she’ll convince herself and everyone else that it’s true

I don't want to go all mumsnet but she's so painfully uninformed. Sounds like Bambi was clusterfeeding and the idiot she is she gave her formula instead of just going with it. Way to diminsh your supply.

The lack of support surrounding breastfeeding is shocking. She's not an idiot for doing what she thought was necessary to feed her baby. Calling her bambi...idiotic. struggling and lacking knowledge about breastfeeding as a first time mum...not idiotic. There are plenty of things to call people up on but breastfeeding and combi feeding isn't one of them.

Eta: her asking for advice on boosting supply is a lot more than many people would do too.

I just hope she reaches out to the relevant people if she wants to continue. There's nothing worse than knowing someone is upset over not continuing to breast feed due to lack of support/information

My son had jaundice while I was breastfeeding and it means they can’t absorb the breast milk and he lost weight, so I was advised to top him up with formula twice a day (he was 2 weeks old). I did this for the next 9 months alongside breastfeeding and he was fine. Didn’t affect his tummy at all and I know loads of mothers who mixed breast and formula with no problems.

As I said, it can make their tummies poorly, never said it always did. I know a lot if babies who have struggled adjusting to formula.

I know PND is horrendous no matter who you are, but I’m sure she has a lot of support, no financial worries of going back to work, the option to employee a nanny at any time and access to the best advice and help. I defo do not feel sorry for her
That’s IF she even gets PND
Yes she’s very privileged and lucky, has lots of money and nothing to worry about but that doesn’t mean she’s immune from PND or it makes it any easier for her.

Having a baby can make you feel so lonely and she might have friends and family around but that doesn’t make up for your partner not being there during a really scary time!

Well this seems to be fake she is wearing two different coats
Is it not just somebody else pushing the pram? Presumably whoever took the second picture?

Understand, but he is getting paid big bucks for this fight and then will be nothing for the rest of the year. Imagine having a partner who will bring home a million at least and then when ur baby is a month old won’t have to really commit to much work. Just really hard to get on board with giving her any sympathy
