Model gossip #2

Josephine Skriver removed a paid post from Shein event she attended after some people called her out in the comment and immediately posted a happy wedding pic to deflect. She and Jasmine have the most controlled media presence. Very interesting.

I didn't see the Shein post, but the wedding picture came up in my feed and I thought it seemed sweet, but a bit contrived. Interesting to hear about the background.

She posted the same pic as Shein US on her grid after the event. But her followers satrted calling out about Shein's shady labour practices and she removed the post.

I've always thought she has a very tightly controlled public persona, neither good nor bad but it makes everything about her very sterile. If I'm not mistaken in a recent Danish documentary she also mentions that she earns more money from Instagram paid posts than her modelling jobs.

I like her, especially as she's very tall but has a shorter husband!

I do think the Instagram paid posts are a bit too much sometimes (for that reason I unfollow her sporadically). But it must be tougher for top models since the Victoria's Secret Angels were cancelled, and how nepo models now take a lot of the shows, covers and campaigns. She does need to choose better brands to align herself with though, Shein is a trash and environmentally destructive company.

What was Josephine’s documentary about? It seemed like it was about how hard it to be Josephine Skriver, and how everyone hates her, and her life is so difficult. It seemed really bizarre and I was wondering if I’d missed something. I know there will always be dickheads who troll her for her LGBT activism etc but the trailer made out like she was being hunted for sport 😂

Glad people are calling out Miranda Kerr on her idiotic ‘wellness’ and food intake.

These videos are so cringe, the level of stupidity these celebs have is just astonishing. I would respect them more if they would say something like ’my job is being thin all the time, eating normal food would mess that up’ not this detox bullshit where they don’t eat solid food for days and probably have diarrhoea constantly in the name of health 🤣🤣

I think the documentary is about her life, her activism and how she navigates life as a model in age of influencers competing against other content creators.

- It might seem strange to say when I'm sitting here with eight million followers. But when it comes to social media, you can lose it all in an instant. You must not step wrong and you must always keep yourself relevant, says Josephine Skriver.

Explains why everything about her is so curated..

She also mentioned that she gave up an ECCO ambassadorship because the company decided to keep their operations in Russia after the invasion of Ukraine.

For once I would like a model to be honest in one of those interviews and say that they're thing because of adderal and laxatives.
Not a model but I was listening to the Fat Mascara podcast last year sometime and one of the hosts mentioned that she found it refreshing when Amanda Seyfried said to keep her figure for Hollywood standards she’s always a bit hungry.

I’m becoming a big fan of hers. She’s also not into the facial injectables at the moment. Watching her in that recent Elizabeth Holmes thing it was refreshing to see a face with lines and wrinkles that actually moved. Scary how little we see that these days!
