Gemma (TIM) put an insta story saying that a certain influencer had liked Wileys Anti-Semitic posts (didn’t mention any names but made it very clear it was either the Vitamin D project or NovaReid) then TIM posted a story about how silence is deafening/speaks louder than words or something like that because she didn’t speak up to condemn Wiley, they shared screen shots of the dm they sent her condemning/holding her accountable for like but also her for not posting a story about Wiley (which is a bit bizzare to me because let’s be honest, I’m not dming my fave influencers telling them their silence is violence because they haven’t posted a story about Katie Hopkins disgusting tweets about Muslims/single mothers). They posted the private dms to their followers. Turns out she liked wileys post about how his record label cut ties with him. Saw their (TIM) stories, watched her (TVDP) igtv which is still there. I feel like it sort of backfired for them. There is another thread about This is mothership where it goes into a bit more detail but was stalking TVDP comments and saw this which I think was pretty true, especially just the undertones of their insta stories at the time. To be honest, IMO none of it should have happened.

I’d say both. Reckon they’re all shook now people are questioning the racism in influencing etc and they’re worried they’ll be kicked off the gravy train most of these white instamums have never (publicly?) acknowledged or questioned their own privilege.

When I see these kind of photos on IG I just think what a knob. We were in Tower Bridge on Monday (French student staying so we did the sights etc, London is totally empty!) there was a girl stood by the bank of the river doing the pointy leg foot in front of the other leg thing, clearly for IG - maybe she's insta-famous, I didn't have a clue - the fella was dutifully taking tons of photos. It is so recognisable now! I wanted to go over and tell her, you're missing the point of... everything, and you look totally ridiculous. I think I might be a bit of miserable bastard, yeah no, it is ridiculous.

Whatever works and you do you boo and all that, but a qualified counsellor will have had to have hundreds to hours of supervised work before they can practice.

Geez. That’s some serious cheddar. What do life coaches do exactly? I’ve always put them in the same basket as Tony Robbins types. Making themselves wealthy through promising wealth for others. If I’m wrong please correct me, but I’m very cynical

I doubt it. Had a look at her account and she seems very positive and there’s no snarky comments to followers. Glen should’ve taken note I actually feel a bit for the women who are tarred with the sods brush. I’d hate it if I was friends with someone and my professional life was called into question by associating with them.

Sometimes I feel like I’ve missed a trick in life. Has anyone done a course like that? And was it a good investment? Genuine question!

Absolutely agree, Life coach doesn't sit well with me, whereas, therapy for processing and coming to terms with experiences really valuable

And I do have an account, set to private, with a whopping 80 something followers, where I mum spam on the regular with the teen's approval. She has one too, on private as well, if she has ever put something up that I'm uncomfortable with we 'discuss it' (I tell her take it off) and it's all good.

We have a rule in our family, that everyone in the picture has to have approval. I encourage the teen to do this with her friends too.

A friend of mine’s wife has just become qualified to be a life coach ... which made me shudder a bit as I’ve always found her a leetle bossy, patronising and humourless

Sounds about she has the right qualifications for such a bullshit job
