You have a point they'd probably have said by now, and unless someone took him there I would be shocked if it could even feasibly be him. I read on another forum some speculation that it could be Denise Jarvis, a vulnerable woman who went missing much closer to there than Jack did, about two years ago..

Whoever it is, at least one family gets some sort of closure. I hope they find Jack soon though, it must be such torture for the family to not even be able to say goodbye properly.

I don't think I've heard of Denise Jarvis, I'll have a quick Google.

I hope they find Jack but the more I talk to people about the case the more uncertain I am. I’ve spoken to quite a few people who live in the area as I have family and friends in Bristol. The prevailing belief is that he ended up in the harbour and has been lost to the sea that way. He might have had a head injury which lead him to be disoriented and the CCTV doesn’t cover all aspects of the harbour so even though he was walking away from the harbour he could have easily returned at another point, especially if he was disoriented.

Is it this news report? No mention linking Jack but I do hope it is, for his families sake.

When I first heard about this my first thought was about whether it could be Jack, but this body was found partially buried in the field next to the stream so maybe unlikely to be him. I keep hoping he is found just so his family can finally get an answer

This is so sad and I don't know why but it's giving me similar vibes to Gabby Petito and the fact it was her husband all along. Her husband won't cooperate with the police, says she doesn't want to be found and has been taking down all the missing posters that her family have been putting up

I read about this on the Mail Online. It's worrying. His poor mum. I'm in England but my is from/fella lives in County Antrim so I'm along the North Coast a fair bit. There's some rugged and steep bits of cliff if you hike east along from the Causeway if you don't stick to the path.

I hope he hasn't fallen/gone over deliberately, but it looks that way with his bag and phone being found and handed in . I don't know how or when someone would be found if they've ended up in the Atlantic. His mum seems to think he might be farther east than they've looked because be was a competent and fast hiker. It's doesn't look good when he's been missing nearly 2 weeks though.

I think the messages sound like paranoia or psychosis, which would also explain it not sounding like her. The spiritual awakening and the deep fake hackers certainly give me those vibes. If someone had taken her, I doubt the messages they’d send to convince the family it was her would be that out there - it’s a lot more than just the use of “hun” that she apparently wouldn’t say that the Mail use in the opening.

She definitely got on the plane to LAX, and therefore got off it, so I assume the police will have footage of her in the airport.
