Missing people and murder cases #4

It is very strange. They wouldn't name the suspect.

It will be interesting to see if we ever hear anything from the referral over the welfare concern calls. My guess would be that the story the police got when those were made and the true level of risk to Angela in general were two very different prospects.

This stinks to me. I’m an armchair detective but the fiancé talking in past tense.

“He said while tearfully clutching his daughter: 'All she wanted was to give this bairn the best. She didn't have the best of upbringings and she wanted to give this child a better one.”

Yes and the article on the Daily Mail seems to be insinuating something. Very oddly written.

I wonder if the press are not mainstreaming it as much due to all the hype and hysteria over Nicola bulley. It's a very sad case.

The press coverage for NB was unprecedented. It was her friend who had media contacts and was able to get it across the national news - her loved ones were certain she wasn’t in the water.

Emma White, Nicola's friend, has media links. Her Father in Law is Stewart White who was a journalist / presenter on BBC Look East. She knows Dan Walker who was, until recently, a BBC breakfast presenter before moving to Channel 5.
Peter Faulding is friends with Alan Carr (chatty man), and it was Mark Williams-Thomas who asked him to approach Nicola's family to aid the search

yeah just came here to put this on, seen a fair bit of it on TikTok and to echo the same as people are writing in the comments ‘I’ve seen this film before and I don’t like the ending’ 😅

It shows sometimes you need to be careful what you wish for. They wanted the press attention and it backfired horrendously.

The police did ultimately handle it badly realising the later info about her but I have some sympathy, they had to deal with an unexpected deluge of media interest, family and friends adamant she wasn’t in the water, the river searching idiot insisting the same and all the other things that went along with it. It was unprecedented for them too, and I can see why they thought releasing the details about the previous visit and her health might stop some of the wild speculation about the family - unfortunately it didn’t.

There’s two bits which suggest MH crisis to me -

Anyone read the article on DM about the 3 missing kids in NZ. Been missing for 3 years, possible sighting of them this week with their dad who took them
I was reading about that case. Wild to me that they can pretty much go missing in plain sight because of the terrain over there. At least they know the kids are alive, I suppose. The poor mum is devastated.

The dad sounds dangerous, I hope they manage to get him eventually.

The New Zealand story is a strange one.

I read a CNN story in it and it names the dad (full name) and the kids. Mum doesn’t want to share her full name, there is an older sister whose full name was published but she doesn’t share a surname with the dad so assuming she’s not his?
He boy who took footage didn’t want his name shared but then they posted the full name of his grandfather who spoke to the press.
NZ police and the mum and disaster didn’t want to talk to CNN (fair enough as the kidnapped jids seem to be in NZ and not US but still might help raise awareness).
Don’t really have a point, just all v odd. Also a few comments about ppl supporting him he dad so I wonder what the back story the bitter divorce is?

I’ve also read articles saying he had custody of the kids after the divorce. So why has he “had” to take them? It’s all so odd, a really weird situation.

Apols to everyone for my typos!

There is something really odd about it

just seen the Virgina McCullough body cam footage, what a strange woman and a terrible case
I saw that too, she showed no emotion either, really cold. I don't know how she kept up the lie for so long. I said to Mr A, I wonder how many more cases there are like this. This was during the covid years too wasn't it. Drs weren't doing medication reviews like normal. I feel for the rest of the family too
