I wonder if pre peeled oranges will cure my life long disability as I'm yet to try that 🤔 Seriously though, I rarely see red because of what people put yet this has me seething. Hoping to god it isn't true! 😬
Melanie should be the last person to write a book with a disabled character. In the past, she's been very ignorant when it comes to disabilities. But sadly, that won't stop her and it could be true.

Will she mention the pre peeled oranges in her book, I wonder? 🤔

Or her use of derogatory slurs against people with disabilities as seen in her Spanish vlogs?

Blocking me when I told her the effects it has on the mental health of clients I work with and she replies with "everyone says it" as some sort of disgusting justification? No, Melanie NOT everyone says it, just ignorant self involved people like you.

Can film videos on gender inclusive language and get your views off the back off that but can't see the damage your doing by use of derogatory slurs against people with disabilities? Can support positive language for the gay community but not the disabled community but you'll make your money selling a book about a community you've made fun of and minimised countless times? And of course their disabilty is Magically cured by some Harry potter tit.

This really heats me. Rant over.

I really hope not. Perhaps I'm just bitter because my book proposal about life with disabilities got denied because it "wasn't relatable enough" 🙄 but either way, I just can't imagine this sitting right with anyone I know.

"Everyone says it" .. who? Literally don't know anyone who does.

When it concerns other people's mental health she couldn't give two shits. But when people are messaging her, calling her out, she has to block everyone because she doesn't want her mental health to suffer from people "bullying" her. It's mind-blowing really.

Kind of ironic that she is having a go at the very government that will be giving Thomas his supplement payment every week to get him through this last couple months, but she doesn't think about that does she. Also, as she's self-employed, what she's not telling you because she forgets about her Irish viewers and people who know the jist over her, is Melanie will ALSO be getting a governement payment but she'll pretend she isn't because she believes that's beneath her. So yeah, I'd say the majority of their income at the moment is coming from the very government she's having a go at. But she'll find that hard when it stops in a month or so, and Thomas has no money coming in and either has to go on the dole (which is a hell of a lot less) if he doesn't get his job back or if he does, he will be on a MUCH lower pay than he was before. So, baby on the way (costs a hell of a lot), and Thomas still has to pay his training bills for becoming a pilot, and they've no permanent or rented place, living in his parents attic...yeah, sure Melanie, sounds so stable and happy. She's full of unbelievable horseshit.

I don't believe their was ever a reporter, I think she made it up just for curiosity. Because someone would have called her out, and she's not that important for a BBC reporter to be interested in her, she just believes she's more important than she is, which is just sad.

Wonder how she's going to respond to the comment below J.K. Rowling's post? She won't like being tagged in a J. K. Rowling being pointed out for doing the same thing this man did! Oh boy....let it....BEGIN! :m

💯 The reason for the insta stories 😂 ..yeah the BBC thing must be lies I can't even think what programme it would fall under !

I really hope not. Perhaps I'm just bitter because my book proposal about life with disabilities got denied because it "wasn't relatable enough" 🙄 but either way, I just can't imagine this sitting right with anyone I know.
I'm sorry to hear that! But if there's really a disabled character in her book, watch how she'll repost everyone saying how "relatable" the character is. I swear, all the people that love her novel(s) are people that don't read regularly and have no idea what good writing looks like?

She's really trying to be the next JK Rowling with her parallel universe tit/magic greenhouses that cure disabilities. She gives me the vibe that she sees her novel on the same level as Sally Rooneys writing and hopes it'll be turned into a movie/tv series like Normal People.

Sadly for her, she will never be on JKR's level, and even then JKR has made some stupid statements peddling back on her characters, but she's still a damn good writer and Harry Potter will be around for decades. Melanie doesn't have the capacity to invest time and effort into her stories and it shows massively. Theirs no love or attachment to her work, it is all about her wanting it to be made into a tv show or movie, you can tell how desparately she wants that rather than just having a good story and book. Beside the fact, the cover is really forgettable, and generic, I've passed it by many times, and had to look twice to realise it was her book, and its never in the popular or charts, its just in the fiction shelves, with masses of others. Covers have a huge part to play in capturing people's eyes. The only reason she has sold a few is because of her online following. I've seen terrible artists on Youtube make art books and their awful art and people buy into, usually very young people who really look up to this person, not realising that their just another human, who has flaws (MM has many many many many flaws) and don't want their bubble of their idol burst.

ON the topic of the disabled character, oh boy. This could break Melanie's connection with her audience. I honestly think she needs a kick back down to reality though, so maybe people giving her criticism over something she understands nothing about. Christ, the girl can't even handle having IBS, and goes to A&E for a belching episode, imagine how she's going to feel in a few short weeks going into labour. I would not want to be them nurses dealing with her. Nightmare.

So how can someone like that, write about a truly debilitating thing such as this and sensitive to the people who have it. I do know people who have it, and it is not a trivial thing, a friend has it, and I can't understand as an outsider, only listen and support whatever way I can. But even at that, I can't understand how they feel, nor their family, the people who care for them. She's not going to talk to someone who has it, or a family willing to share their thoughts, daily hardships and do all that intense research coming to understand something like this would require to even read about it, and with the consultation of the people you got permission to research from. No, Melanie will check WebMD, and watch a couple videos on YT about it and think that will be enough. She is completely insensitive to others feelings, and what shows how utterly immature she is, is when she blocks everyone for giving her, in many respects, rightful criticism. She is quite childish for a 31 year old pregnant woman. She's more to be pitied.

When I moved to Ireland in 2015, Melanie was one of the first irish YouTubers that I discovered. Naturally I was hooked and she became one of the sources for me to get to know Irish culture/people better. Boy oh boy was I wrong?!! I have so many Irish friends now, I’ve traveled everywhere in Ireland and I’ve yet to meet a self-absorbed snob like her!!

After years of consuming her content, my IQ level has dropped seriously. I cringe HARD at her content now questioning my intelligence on why and how did I ever find her relatable. She’s so ignorant I can’t even!! My main trigger to unfollow her completely had been her PCOS and IBS bullshitery. I have PCOS plus IBS (diagnosed by qualified doctors and not WebMD) and I am struggling with infertility. I am getting treatments for it and its not been an easy ride but I am genuinely fine with the cards I have been given to deal as it is what it is.. And then there is Melanie, ranting like a little witch about her self diagnosed cyst as if god forbid she has PCOS as she is too pious for it. And the shameless gloating about her pregnancy, it’s really annoying. Good for her that she is fortunate enough to conceive without struggling but how dare she belittles anyone else’s struggles in life? How is her sister okay with this? She has PCOS as well. And Melanie totally tried to cash her trashy novel by ‘representing PCOS’. She is not the spokesman for it. She should just stay out of what she hasn’t experienced herself. Trump and herself have a lot in common, research wise. They’re both in position of power and use their platform to spread falsified information and sheer ignorance.

Also have you noticed in her videos with Jessica, she’s always sitting smugly as she is ‘too adult and mature’ and knows more? She’s always looking at her sister so condescendingly. Jessica looks legit intimidated by her. Even though she seems pretty shallow herself. Melanie looks like the person who’d get offended by constructive criticism/feedback given even by her friends (doubt she has any) and family. Everyone in real life must be so uncomfortable around her as if walking on eggshells constantly.

And now encouraging her followers to stop watching news.. BATSHIT CRAZY! And don’t even get me started on her living situation. She is a 5 year old stuck in a 30 something body which WILL wrinkle and grow naturally much to her dismay, unlike her brain which will forever lack maturity.

I hope you are reading this Melanie because you have been a contributing factor in spreading unwanted negativity in my life and I’m sure many other struggling-to-be-pregnant women feel the same way. Shame on you and please enroll yourself in some sensitivity training. Imagine the impressionable teens who get their sexual health information from her. Ffs.

imagine working in a shopping centre with this music.

Imagine endlessly promoting a talentless book.
Imagine working tirelessly with companies and twisting your thoughts and opinions to glorify the product knowing it preys on the weakness of others.
Imagine sitting in your dressing gown all day festering in your boyfriends attic, because you're not a key worker and you do not have to work.

His hat is hiding the 'reality' 🤭🤫😆
haha when he shaved his hair off the other year some of it never grew back. He probably had a fair amount of luscious hair before meeting Mel.

She’s wearing a t-shirt saying ‘mama to be’. Has to make sure everyone knows she’s pregnant at all times of course.

Also she’s bought herself so much maternity stuff but I don’t think she’s bought anything for baby? Selfish mama to be. Feel so sorry for that baby having her as a mom.
What, she's pregnant? Good thing she has that sweater, I wouldn't have known otherwise, she's never mentioned it.

That Instagram story where she pulls up the sweater and shows her bump while doing that little dance made me cringe.

Well I got in contact with the bbc journo who wrote the article on the affects covid has on the influencer industry to ask if the claims Melanie was making ( attached ) were true. So basically, Mel didn't submit her interview on time, sent two days after publishing deadline and is salty because she wasn't featured. The truth always comes out Melanie😂

Side note : the article was in NO way negative at all and I will encourage all to read it titled: Coronavirus: Influencers' glossy lifestyles lose their shine (BBC website)

Someone get this woman off social media please, it's not even funny anymore 😩

I also would encourage everyone to go and like the journos reply, as Melanie has painted her out to be a nasty piece of work when in reality the article is only based on how much ad revenue/ paid ads has gone down since the pandemic. I'm sorry but this is a person's livelihood and to paint this lady out to be something she's not just because you want to spin a story for attention is PLAIN WRONG.
