it’s definitely a Dublin thing. It’s more of a north sider thing. I say it myself and I know loads of people who do but I’ve never seen anyone spell it when writing. Not even Hazel Hayes does that.

I’m not from Dublin and everyone around me says “yous”, I think people from Dublin say it more like “yis” and then “ye” in more country areas? I do think Melanie types it out like that to sound more special and Irish though lol

I’m Scottish, just outside Glasgow and everyone says it constantly but it will be spelled “yous” and actually quite a lot of people type it online too, it would be used like e.g. “Are yous coming over for dinner tonight?”, “Yous are great” etc. probably slang yes but everyone does say it

I would say “are yous going to the shop” but only to friends, family or housemates. I’d never put it where my business is imagine using that in a professional way??

We use it all the time where I come from but I don't think I've ever used it on here ,I have to change my language as the English wouldn't have a clue what I was talking about ..and probs still don't

I'm from the north and we would 'yous' or 'yous-ins' but like you would only ever write it down as 'yous' if you were sending a text or something like even at that normally people don't because it looks stupid

but weddings in Ireland are still tiny. That’s the thing, people just aren’t making a massive issue about it. You’re only allowed 50 people including the people who are in your wedding/ working at the reception. She just made a massive deal of her one because she’s a drama queen
