I can't stand her, nothing to do with her looks she just rubs me up the wrong way completely!

Soooo big headed, used to switch off in the end when she came on Radio 1. Also so childish, used to read out rude texts people had sent in and bear bait them on air. Just ignore it.

Final straw was before Christmas when she was bragging about a trip to Dubai 'you know just to chill out before all the Christmas madness' so unrelatable! Yea cos everyone listening can afford to do that you d*ickhead, was just thinking a lot of people listening will be losing sleep over the cost of Christmas and there she is bragging to the nation about her jaunt then posted pics of herself flying first class! I was actually unaware she'd left R1 as not really been listening over lockdown apart from the odd dance anthems podcast, woohoo 😂

I just used to find her annoying because she just never sounded like she knew what she was doing - she’d get the names of songs wrong and stuff like that. I like it when DJs actually know what they’re playing which I suppose you don’t really get on radio one anyway apart from the established DJs and specialist shows.
 
I like her and I think it's refreshing that she's not shy about sharing her true personality rather than trying to maintain a ridiculously polished and wooden image like most celebs do. I also think it's inspiring that she's made it to where she is through, what appears to be, sheer determination and hard work, and in spite of the cards she was dealt earlier in life.

Having said that, I don't think she's that good at presenting. As others have said, she'd constantly fluff up on the radio and when she's on TV it doesn't look like it comes naturally to her? She has definitely benefitted from being an attractive woman with a lot of interest surrounding her relationship status.

I also think she's quite fickle with the work she does? I'm not sure she appreciated how major getting a radio 1 slot was so early on in her career; so many talented and hardworking DJs and presenters will never reach that stage and it appears as if she just dropped it for a mediocre Saturday night show and instagram ads and brand deals. Although, granted, that's probably just a reflection of the modern era in which everyone is interested in moving onto the next thing and looking like they're constantly levelling up and booked and busy lol.

It's probably financially clever too, although her decision to front an Adidas campaign about body positivity didn't go down well at all. Perhaps integrity should be put ahead of the bag sometimes. I did read that she initially wanted to be an actress before presenting, and she is going back to that dream and shooting a film in the Caribbean next year, so it will be interesting to see what she does next!

I definitely think she's in some kind of situation with Ben Simmons. She had a picture with Kendall Jenner on her instagram (I remember it because she was wearing Stormzy is 72 years old's reflective tracksuit) but it has seemingly vanished now that she has been linked to Kendall's ex!

I do agree that the constant flaunting of the boujee lifestyle can jar sometimes but, all in all, I like her.

I 100% believe that if she wasn't as attractive as she is, or hadn't dated an up and coming rap star, she wouldn't have reached the level of influence she has now. She seemingly appeared out of nowhere, it often takes people years to get to the positions she seemingly gets handed to her, and I don't think its because she's exceptionally talented or anything. It took Greg James the best part of a decade to get onto the breakfast show, yet she's handed a prime time weekend slot straight of the bat??

I’d have to disagree. She moved to London when she was 16 literally doing any job she could In radio stations etc so yes she has been lucky but I wouldn’t say it’s been handed to her. I guess times are different nowadays where places like the bbc or big brands will work with people who are up and coming so it seems like they are just being handed a fancy cool job but in reality that’s the way the industry works now compared to 10-20 years ago

Oh I totally agree on that part. She would 100% be in the industry, but my comment was more aimed at how fast she's progressed, particularly when you compare her to other people doing similar work. I do think her looks, instagram followers and boyfriend have paid a huge part in that.

To be fair i imagine there was a list of stuff and it was the final nail in the coffin of the relationship. Anyone that used to view their stories knows that his mates were at the flat constantly all hours smoking weed and i mean constantly, so she would go away for work come home knackered probably to a flat full of his hangers-on and not get any time alone with him. No woman would stand for that as long as she did, he knows he messed up big time.

It’s sad as well cos she actually got fame and money first, he would sit in her flat all day everyday unmotivated while she paid the bills until he made something and suddenly went viral and got loads of fame.

I don’t see the appeal with him at all to be honest, never have!

*edit* by the way this also gives the story about Drake going after Maya a different edge because Jorja Smith broke Drakes heart, Stormzy is 72 years old got caught with Jorja shortly after and now Maya is single and Drake is going after her hahaha! Not the first time Drake has played games like this.

As for Drake, he’s probably riddled - the amount he puts it about.
 
As you've known her for years. Is her body natural? I remember an article from a few years back where she was saying she was naturally slim and wanted a Jessica Rabbit body. And now she has curves in all the right places and a flat stomach. I've seen a few posts of her at the gym but she is always busy working with her job and out late DJ'in/partying so just wondered whether she had a helping hand.

Also do you know if she has ADHD? She is always fidgeting and quite hyperactive on her IG stories and even when presenting on TV.
I think she has done well in her career and seems to be picking up new work all the time. Her hard work has clearly paid off and she is stunning.
