It’s more the fact they are SO critical of Georges not being able to provide financial stability when he has his own house; what does she bring to the table?!
And also, if she was earning £120k why the duck does Georges need to provide for her?! Her mum has such backwards views. Sounds like Peggy, despite living with her parents, is actually very financially stable and in turn probably quite independent. Her mum should be encouraging of that, not belittling her to “can your husband provide for you if you have a baby” 🤢 those views actually make me feel sick

Why? I lived at home until I met a man I wanted to move in with. It's not that unusual for women to do that. I didn't see the point waisting money on rent and didn't particularly want to live with a house mate.

Yes she has a well paid job and could afford to live alone, but it is expensive living alone and can be lonely, so why not stay with mum and dad. For all we know she's got thousands in the bank just waiting to buy a property when she meets the right person.

I don't know why it is so looked down on to live with your parents in this country. In other cultures it's perfectly normal. Not everyone hates their family and can't bare to see them more than a few times a year.
I was going to day the same, I moved out at 21 and bought my own place because I felt like I had to .

27 I sold up and moved back in with my parents after becoming isolated and lonely. I'd tried living with roommates but just wasn't for me. We played games in the evening and watched university challenge it was great!

Then moved back out at 31 once I had a partner. I still go back for sleep overs every 6 months or so as I miss them.

Does your ma climb in bed with you and a brew whilst the creepy mannequin watches on?

I don't think Pegerella's living situation would have been as harshly criticised if she hadn't repeatedly tit on Georges like he was living on a park bench.
I think that's the main issue. It's not stupid or immature to live with your parents if your single and over 25. It can make financial sense and if you don't want to live alone why not live with family instead of a potentially difficult house share situation.

The issue with Peggy she is still acting like and being treated like a dependent child. The people there are the issue not the circumstances.
