It does make you wonder how much of Sophie’s career is all off her own merit and how much nepotism has gone on. Her comment ‘oh well I don’t want to do anything once I have kids…’ surely if you genuinely loved your career and worked as hard as she claims to build that up, you wouldn’t want to just give that up? Reading between the lines a lot of her career is likely a vanity project and opportunities were afforded to her through connections. I actually like Sophie, and I think she is fairly kind hearted and emotionally intelligent, but my eyebrow goes up whenever I hear people from her background talk about being a ‘high flier, independent, successful’. Maybe I am just a cynical working class person seething with jealousy 🤣

I completely agree. Also found it odd that she was saying she can’t just leave her job to go travelling. Nowadays a lot of businesses in the corporate world will let you have a few months unpaid leave if you’re doing well and have been there a while. I started liking her then she starts rattling out this bullshit about her job and I go back to square one again. It’s not even an important job that is life saving or a huge benefit to society, she’s not a nurse, doctor etc. I bet she’s insufferable at work.

Unfortunately it is still alive and well. In my industry there are people who stay in high powered jobs despite track records of failure and when they are moved it is just to another well compensated job that they continue to perform poorly in. There is an industry specific masonic lodge, sure that is just a coincidence

New poster here 👋!

I’ve been following the MAFS threads on here since this season began, and have been creasing at some of the stuff on here and finally plucked up the courage to come and join the madness.

I know lots of you on here love Adrian, but I have to say watching him yesterday made me see him from a different perspective. I’ve always thought his relationship with Thomas was rather odd. It’s felt like he’s almost been babysitting Tom a lot of the time as opposed to being in a relationship with him, and I think Tom’s friends and family highlighted that tonight. Adrian seemed to be dodging questions when the mother was asking if he fancied Thomas which to me insinuates he probably doesn’t. However, I do agree that Tom’s friends and family’s fixation on his sex life with his partner was rather odd, and implies that those around him enable his bad behaviour. I also personally think the experts have been absolutely crap when it comes to analysing the relationship between these two. They seem to think just because they’ve witnessed a development in Tom’s character that the relationship will survive, but it seems what Adrian wants from this relationship is a topic that hasn’t been broached at all. Surely, him “nurturing” Thomas can’t be a role he occupies for the rest of his life? I’ll be intrigued to see where this relationship goes in the next few episodes, as I still don’t think they’ll make it as a couple, outside of the experiment but I thought they’d at least say their final vows. On another note, I’m so glad Thomas is about to label poundshop Naomi Campbell as an adulterer.

I thought George was so arrogant (some things never change) with the way he snubbed April’s life in London, simply because he’s not used to city life. She may not have been comfortable with living out in the sticks, but at least she made an effort to show interest in George’s life outside the experiment.

Kasia and Kwame won’t last I think, nor do I want them to.

I had to laugh at “horse-legs” being brought up by Johnathan to Sophie’s parents 😂. Honestly, the ramifications of him making this comment, seem to be far greater than the ramifications of SPH and Whitney’s cheating! It makes me laugh that the aftermath of this comment has ricocheted from London to Cheltenham :ROFLMAO:.

Watching MAFS has made me more excited for Big Brother’s comeback. Hopefully at least that show, won’t be as scripted as some of the stuff that’s happened on this.

Anyway, that’s my two penny’s worth.

I think it takes a certain type of person that could find Thomas sexually attractive, he's an overgrown (badly behaved) toddler with make up. Adrian needs someone more mature.

Same! I just really hope they go back to the original formula. None of the she's in she's oot she's in a secret room messing with the other contestants. And I really hope there's some real people in there and not these insta baddies that are supposed to make good TV. The best bbs were the ones with normal people.

Caught up with last night's episode and genuinely just watching it for the car crash now. Can't say I'm rooting for anyone. Hopefully tonight's isn't as dull!

Unfortunately there’s not a chance. It’ll be filled with the usual suspects from ex-on-the-beach, first dates, naked attraction and MAFS.
This is Channel4 after all. 😂

I have a spoiler lol

back in June just after the experiment ended I can see that Tom had been hashtagging #singlegay which makes me think him and Adrian aren’t together.

Agree. I'm far more impressed by Kasia in that respect to be honest.

Oh no! Sophie’s in danger of the classic ‘marrying your dad without realising, until it’s too late!’ scenario. Explains a lot though! ❤
Editing to add I’ve only just caught up with the show/ thread and saw others thought this too. 🤓 Personally I’ve already dated versions of my mum, my brother and three of my dad! Hoping to break that chain now and date a version of George Clooney instead! 👍 🤣🙄

That happens to me too. There's something about being where I grew up that just snaps me right back to it.

I'm the same. I've lived 'down south' for 37 years now but every time I go back to Liverpool I turn quite Scouse very quickly. I think it's because my Southern voice makes me sound like a knobhead when I'm up there 🤣 🤣

My husband always used to say he could tell if I'd phoned my parents because my accent changed.
