I feel like I’ve been in a similar situationship as mark//sean and can sort of understand where Sean is coming from. When your partner is *intense* saying things like “you can never hurt me” you feel you can’t do anything but stay with them and try. After a while the acting becomes exhausting. From what we’ve seen I think that’s what happened - Sean is essentially a good bloke but didn’t want a relationship with mark, and thought he could fake one to save mark’s feelings.
 
I think Sean and Mark came across well apart from Mark's wedding day shirt incident but Sean must have felt so much extra pressure with Mark having a fear of being hurt again. This show was not for Mark as there was always a huge percentage factor he wouldn't find his person but overall they seem like decent people.
 
I agree Mark was too intense about this whole “you can’t hurt me” narrative.
No one wants to be hurt or rejected, it absolutely sucks. But you can’t dictate to someone how they should feel and you can’t demand they never hurt you.

I like Mark and it’s only insecurity of course, but growth comes from these situations and learning that you can survive and thrive after heartbreak is a very important lesson!
Hopefully he takes it in that way and doesn’t then use it as MORE “justification” for his neediness

Was just being nosey n stalking insta and saw this. I actually kinda agree. We just don’t see anything except the drama. This series has really been a let down with letting us see the actual ppl and some normality … annoying (I don’t particularly care for these two but certain ppl do get a lot of air time)
