I'm talking it should be several years, but then I don't think kids should be introduced to partners until things are stable and serious either. A lot longer than you would take to introduce to parents. Kids should be the last to meet your partner.

Absolutely this!! I'd known Mr Karma 2 years before he got over the door step! We've been in our situationship (I don't do commitment) for 10 years. He stays sometimes but will not be moving in. And 2 of my kids are old enough to vote
