The carry on with Jessie and Clare, they tit me. They are both weird. It’s like they think they’re special and gods gift because they are twins. Their relationship seems fucked up. Both insufferable.
The dynamic would be awful. Jessie absolutely thinks she is the superior twin. I can’t imagine living with that my whole life.

Why do they persist with the ridiculous headlines? 2012 called and xoJane wants their ‘it happened to me’ style back.
It’s crazy because on their podcast MF, Holly, Jessie act as if they are on a moral/feminist high horse but the absolute trash they pump out in the articles is the complete opposite. The one shitting on Meghan Markle and Harry saying the stress of the media caused her miscarriage has been called out online. Interestingly a social media commentator noted that when the Mamamia articles are particularly abhorrent, no one will put their name to it, so it just says written by “Mamamia Team”, as opposed to a particular writer. Of course Mamamia is out to make a buck, but don’t pretend you are anything more than a click baity online media company.

Yep they are all uninteresting so they need neon clothes (Mia) for personality and twin narrative for the twins because they are dated and socially awkward

they are weird. They’ve stuck around though (and Jessie has married in) unlike the many who have come and gone from mamamia, going back to Jamila, Rosie, Monique, Zara and Michelle even. I think the truly talented ones are mamamia as a stepping stone, learn and grow a platform there and then move on. Then there are those who cleave on and stay. Either because it’s a great job to balance with family (Holly) or because they’re a bit weird (Jessie and Clare)

Or you’re just a grifter like old mate Leigh

They really are odd! I do find them funny on Cancelled, but it’s just a silly escapism-listen for me. They are so critical of each other and constantly picking on things they did back in their childhood and school days- they are SO immature for their age- I’m slightly younger than them and I don’t know any women as immature as they are. The crazy heavy black eyeliner is so odd to me as well, looks bloody awful and so dated. As a former goth I cringe at young photos of myself with caked on black liner, it looks ridiculous. The quality of their journalism is scraping the floor like most of Mamamia’s writers. Has anyone read Jessie’s book? It’s quite sad and serious, very different to her MM stuff.

I read Jessie’s book and I must say, although it was 100 pages too long it was excellent and well written. Nothing like her real life drivel.

Yes it was a brilliant book. I hope her second is good too. Don’t know why she does such shite for Mamamia
I’ve not read her book but I think both of them are quite intelligent. ( hard to believe sometime! ) I’m sure both of them got a freakishly high ATAR, like 99 and they were featured in some newspaper articles because they were twins and had both gotten good marks. I’m not sure how they got involved with Mamamia.

That is absolutely bewildering! They come across quite…uneducated most of the time. They don’t know how to properly pronounce some very regular words and don’t know the meaning of lots of words (not sure why they don’t look them up prior to recording if they know they need to use an unfamiliar word). Also I’m constantly surprised by big gaps in their knowledge on people/events when they literally run a pop culture podcast. Maybe they’re more math/science inclined and we don’t get to see that side of them. I agree with posters above her book was very well written, I found it quite sad but still enjoyable.

So true!

This is perfect! Bravo 👏🏻
So, so tone deaf and in complete denial. Holly was holding her tongue big time
Just listened and could not believe my ears. Jessie and Mia barely acknowledging the nepotism in their own organisation. I don’t forget Billie Fitzsimmons who worked at Mamamia (who seems like a great journalist) but how did she get there … her Mums besties with Mia. It’s the acknowledgment that people are looking for not that it shouldn’t happen.

Did Mia mention the fact that her dad is worth well over $100 million dollars, she was able to access schooling at Ascham College, and that the whole reason she managed to get a foot in the door at Dolly/Cleo/Cosmo was because 'her Dad knew someone in the building so he passed on her letter and resume to Lisa Wilkinson' duck up Mia, yes you've built a somewhat impressive career and I do believe she works hard but don't pretend you didn't have a leg up that comes with knowing all the right people who have money and education.
