Mamamia #3

This willl give the lazy gewl (ugh) twins (ugh) some extra self importance and some extra money (so needed by Jessie…as she likes to tell everyone she’s got a big mortgage like everyone else - fails to mention her nepo baby husband and that she lives in a place bought for almost $3M).
How do you know how much her house was?

I’m not going to share the details as it would give her address away but it’s been public on another site. $2.9M.

How ridiculous that in interviews about her latest book, she’s so obsessed with ‘class privilege’.

Instead of letting her guilt/discomfort morph into her creative work, I don’t understand why she doesn’t try and use baby daddy’s money for good. Start a charity? Raise money for a worthy cause?

This is the exact privilege that I am talking about in the group. These women will find anyway to make their lives look as if they are struggling, difficult and down trodden when in reality they outearn most Australians. I had a similar upbringing to Jessie - middle class household, both parents working, catholic school, University etc. She makes it sound like she came from housing commission (not that there is anything wrong with that). Somehow she thinks that not coming from a family in the top 3% has made her disadvantaged.

It’s all so disingenuous. I unfollowed everyone and anything Mamamia related, including Sally Hepworth since they consistently refuse to mention the Gaza conflict at all. As if it’s not happening at all. Bit they’re all about ‘what women are talking about’. Privileged bunch of eastern suburbs white women masquerading as doing good in the world.
Oh man not Sally Hepworth god damnit. I just discovered her books and now I’m devo I’ll have to stop reading them. I refuse to support any of these privileged eastern suburb genocide apologist white women.
