His girlfriend cheated on him so he told her she could make it up to him if she watched him sleep with one of her best friends. He apparently then went through with it and wasn’t remotely apologetic/remorseful/cognisant of how fucked up it was in his confession.
His wife is pretty strait laced so she was horrified that he didn’t think it was a regrettable thing to do.
