This IS/WASthe real wedding. Anything else hereafter is simply a party. They should’ve done better. But they think they are cool & so are blinded by that falsehood.

I agree you should be able to where what the heck you want though buuut I also agree Sophie wore this look to show an emaciated body.

In short she looks below average.

They’ll just see it as a formality like many others do. Anyone who ever got wed at a hotel/country house/abroad/a special venue views that ceremony as the ‘real’ beginning of the marriage. But I’ve never seen a bride go for a bridal look at the register office like she has though (unless it was the only ceremony they were having). It kind of renders the ‘real’ wedding a bit pointless and might put out guests who have organised child care or paid a lot to attend

I remember when she was Sam Thompson on MIC I always thought back then at the time she was only with sam to get close to Jamie, she always seemed more interested in Jamie than Sam. Then lo and behold they got together. I’ve never liked Sophie, something about her just doesn’t sit right with me.

Sophie and Tilly look so similar - especially as Lady Phoebe. I also think she looks incredible and love the dress. Her legs are unreal 🫣

Yes we all know that’s how these types of ceremonies are seen and regarded etc doesn’t take away the fact, this and other marriages like this are their legal marriage, that’s just a simple and possibly rather dull fact. It’s very common across the world and it’s up to individuals to deal with their nuptials as they wish and celebrate as desired and see fit. Pretending their real wedding is
when they’ve got to their desired foreign destination because a registry office doesn’t cut it is bs. Their real PARTY is in X destination.
Their real wedding has happened.

Why is it a bad thing to be proud of your figure. Whether you're big or thin?

Not everyone likes long dresses. I don't I hate anything but a mini. I caved in to tradition for my wedding but I wish I had just worn a mini skirt like a wanted to. Nothing about showing off my leg, it's just my style. Not everyone wants to be "elegant and classy"
It's not a bad thing to be proud of your figure, no matter what your size, but Sophie doesn't look healthy to me. She's lost a lot of weight since her early MiC says, as have several other female cast members, and seems to be on a highly restrictive diet and intensive exercise regime.

I remember someone on here said she shared some ridiculous appetite-suppressing tip on her podcast (can't remember exactly what, but was some weird, gross snack) which sounded very unhealthy and the hallmark of someone with an eating disorder/has a really unhealthy relationship with food. It doesn't sit right with me that she and various other MiC cast members proudly flaunt this "emaciated chic" look all over their Instagram pages (e.g. jutting out ribcages and worryingly skinny limbs that look ready to snap). IMO it's highly reckless and irresponsible, given how many young women followers they have on social media. It's not okay that they're normalising this unhealthy level of skinniness, like it's something to be proud of.

Maybe I'm more passionate about the subject than many, having had a difficult relationship with food (fuelled by body dysmorphia) during my teens, when skinny chic was very much the fashion and considered beautiful (and sported by the likes of Nicole Ritchie and Lindsay Lohan etc). I was never overweight and always a size 8-10, but definitely caved into the pressure. It had an irreparable impact on my health, which still affects me to this day, unfortunately. Having coming out the other end of it, it saddens me to see so many young women still thinking that being worryingly thin is a badge of honour and something to aspire to.

As for the wedding dress, fair enough, and each to their own. I'm more of a traditionalist and favour the classic, modest look versus nightclub chic (i.e. plunging necklines and tiny hemlines etc), but maybe I'm just an old fuddy duddy for my age😅💁🏻‍♀️

But we also all know that the legal ceremony is the binding one 😂 it’s not like anyone is being hoodwinked here.
A wedding simply means a celebration of marriage, or party. So their big wedding with probably loads more friends and family in attendance, will probably be their considered their ‘real’ one of the two.

You’ve mostly repeated what I’ve already said..?!
In any case it doesn’t matter what they consider or don’t consider. They are now legally married and yesterday was their wedding. They looked pretty ridiculous and we’re trying to be people they aren’t.

Sure they’ll really care 🤣 but no matter what photos I see now, I’ll recall these ridiculous sunglasses twatty ones as their marriage photos on their WEDDING day. I couldn’t give a stuff about a knees up in Seville wedding wise now. But I’ll enjoy looking at their party outfits for it.

Really curious how bad was her controversial appetite suppressant tip she mentioned? I can’t remember her earlier days in MIC so just always thought that was her natural body type.
I can't remember exactly, but I do vividly remember thinking "wtaf, that's fucked up and wrong". I might have a scan back through these threads because it's going to annoy me now lol. She is naturally skinny but she also used to carry a bit more natural "normal, healthy" fat on her stomach and legs (in old holiday pics, as per the attached). Her face also looks gaunt compared to the older series. If she and the other girls want to live that way, fine and each to heir own, but they shouldn't be plastering it all over their social media, like it's something to be proud of. Plus promoting ridiculous weight loss products, like that butt-firming tool Sophie apparently used in the run-up to her wedding (which someone mentioned here a few days ago).

What was the tip?
I've forgotten exactly what it was but am determined to root it out in these threads. If the poster who initially mentioned it is reading, please do share 👌🏻
