I think the new girl Mel looks so much like Julia Roberts … she’s beautiful!
Just watched the latest episode and thought of Julia Roberts as soon as I saw her. She is stunning, just wants to be on the show i think though , there's not one cast member I would put her with

can't believe Charlie called her a one night stand and picks Yaz as a potential gf

Is this the look Maeva is going for Robbie in the 90's

The bridesmaid chat was cringey. Miles had just replaced Emily with Yas because Emily is shacked up and focusing HARD on a proposal from her fella. And Miles needs a platonic female in his life that he likes to pretend to fancy so he doesnt feel ‘completely gay’ He always has these near relationships, they’re all deluded from it - including him. I’ve always thought Emily got gay vibes from Miles and that was why she steered clear of him…. that and “his colouring” of course. Ignorant witch. I flipping can’t stand Emily.

I like how everyone acts as though it's totally normal that she'd be getting engaged now - to a man she's barely been with 5 minutes, when not that long ago she was ruining their trip to Bali crying, ranting and raving over Harvey in front of Jordan and clearly not over any of it, and lapping up the flirting and innuendo from Miles the rest of the time. I agree she is gunning hard for that ring and acting like it's a done deal but that doesn't make it normal. She's not even 30 either.

Miles just seems to go for whichever female there is in the vicinity with the lowest confidence or who's at a low ebb (post breakup or post being cheated on), get close to them under the guide of being the 'bestie' and then monopolise on that. He doesn't want to date any of them and I'm quite sure he thinks he can do better - he just loves them in the position where they're boosting his ego and tries to pull them back to him if he thinks they might like someone else - even if that person would be much better for them.

Yep, at this point Miles is just collecting fag hags.

😂 She looks like a member of a 90s boyband.
I really liked Maeva’s haircut when she got it done and I think it looked really chic and cute. But the memory of 90s curtain haircuts and that Robbie pic has totally killed that.
I agree that James probably hates it and her extensions will be in within a matter of weeks!

What’s with the age of 30 with all these zlisters? As soon as they are close to 30 it seems like these girls panic and get pregnant by the next guy that comes along, explains why so many love island, ex on the beach, and other realitytv show zlisters are single mothers while the kid isn’t even a toddler and end up having 2-3 kids with 3 different dads all of them who left (off to jail) during or soon after the baby arrived. Most of the guys are described as ‘essex business man’ in the DM, but we all know what that means. Bless them.

The extensions she currently has in, don't blend with her hair texture. She's straightened the front and so the leave out sticks out a mile as the rest is curly.

I just had a look at her Insta, and she's a different person! I'm shocked!! I'm now convinced she either can't be arsed to make any effort whatsoever with her hair for filming - or the MIC hairstylists on set are absolutely tit and she's too nervous to speak up, in case she's kicked off the show 🤣

Haha totally agree with you about the guy she was with and that's all I'll say because...err yeah 😄.

On a side note, when she flounced off after that table cloth comment to Yas, I actually gasped at how thin she was. I imagine she's under a lot of pressure to 'maintain' as she models, but jeez!
I mean let's be real do you really think MIC has any hairstylists that know how to do black hair? Most entertainment/fashion does not as black models and actors always talk of how their hair is treated in those industries. Shows barely employ people who know how to do variety.

I remember Jourdan Dunn and a lot of black models talked
about how the stylists say they don't do black hair or make up. Same with a few actresses. They end up doing their hair and make up themselves for shows. Or they have to pay for a black hair dresser or makeup artist out of their own pocket while other people don't.

Not to be rude either but the UK in general lacks in good black hair dressers in my opinion especially if you compare to the USA.

Maybe her black parent also never taught her how to do her hair. I find that is a common occurrence from my own observations. If the parent doesn't teach and tell their child how to love and accept their hair and stop viewing black hair as 'difficult' or 'hard' they let it go unkempt into adulthood.

I dont believe for a minute anyone on that set knows how to manage afro hair, but she could easily find a decent black hairdresser in London Town, if she wanted to and has clearly come into contact with people who have styled her hair nicely, as her insta posts depict.

Black hairdressers are two a penny in London. I'm sure she can access the black celebrity hairdressers and pay top dollar, if she doesn't wanna take her bouji self, to the aunties in Peckham!

America is a bigger country, so is gonna have more of everything and therefore more choice.

I hear what you're saying, but her Mum is black, so....yeah! *shrugs* I dunno what went wrong there...

yes indeed! He likes have a female "bff"- flirty with her at times, be super possessive for nothing. It was Emily and then Ruby. Now both of them have their new boyfriends and so hes moved on to Yas. I think he was also very close with this girl called Elle Edwards (ig handle livefitelle) as I used to see them hanging out on ig stories alot and people even asked if they were dating (of course they both denied and said they were just very close friends. ie the same storyline you see between him and yas). I think this Elle girl happened after Ruby and before Yas 😂

exactly right!

hes a real manipulator isnt he. at points how he treats them makes me so uncomfortable. and would not be seen as ok,would not be shown,or he would not act like this if he didnt "look like miles" he really gaslights these girls sometimes.
allthough he seems to be doing it with his new little lapdog too now!that bloke is copying him. or trying to. sadly failing but you know.
and he talks about mental health on his podcast, you no alongside the weirdest places hes had sex  when hes damagedhalf the girls comfidence and mental health on that show.

haha miles and the nontemptation posting eachother in the infra red sauna whilst the other is watching them in the ice bath. bleeping rediculous rich cunts but also, sat there with this heavy music and just...watching eacother through a big window....

Actually think the chat about Paris’ hair is nasty and uncalled for. Maybe she likes it? Ruby’s hair, Emily’s hair also often looks shite. Habbs’ Croydon facelift ponytail doesn't suit her nearly as much as she thinks it does. Liv and Maevas hairstyles are actually AWFUL (I know Liv has alopecia) but still nobody on the show looks perfect, visits the top stylists and salons in London, why does she have to??

Admittedly Issy is lucky with her hair (genes) and that salon episode didn’t help because Paris’ hair didn’t look amazing/different but this quest for her to be beautiful and perfect and nice and wonderful and kind and the voice of reason and nice to people she dislikes and this or that when literally *nobody* else on the programme is doesn’t sit well.

I'm quite liking her current hair. I think a more natural look suits her. You had me LOLing about the other cast members' hair, but to be fair to Liv, she's had struggles with alopecia over the years. Emily could benefit from a soft side fringe. Her forehead annoys me. Her whole entity just annoys me😅

Okay, so what's your point? Cos 99% of us have been ripping Maeva's hair to shreds ever since its grand reveal and I dont recall seeing a post from you saying that was mean or uncalled for?

Maybe Maeva likes her hair too! That hasn't stopped us all commenting on it. The same way you think Emily's hair looks tit, I think Paris' hair looks tit. What's the difference?

I didn't say she MUST go to a top black salon, black hairdressers are everywhere but I can't envisage her trekking to use Brixton's finest, so the likes of Charlotte Mensah may be more up her street and fit in with her 'esthetic' 🙄

She can do what she wants to her hair, but as the only black cast member, being black myself, I sat up and took notice when she arrived on the show, saw her hair and thought "FFS!"

Don't get it twisted, I'm not having sleepless nights wondering if she's wearing a satin bonnet to bed, but this is a thread about MIC and its cast members, so I'm commenting on a cast member and I'm entitled to share my opinion. I've seen far worse things said about people on here! What I've said pales into bloody comparison 😄😄

I also couldn't care less who she does or doesn't speak to, she's not the first to give excessive amounts of attitude on MIC...err Maeva, anyone?! 😄 I'll assume the latter part of your post was in reference to other people's comments about her.

Firstly I think you need to calm down.

You asked for my point, I made several in my post if you don’t understand them, I can’t help you.

Side note from answering this frankly hysterical post (wow)…… I will add; Paris whom funnily enough I’ve never been a huge fan of. She’s insightful, sometimes witty and a good character but I don’t revel in her (as I’ve seen others fans of the show do in the past) is being held to an abnormally unfairly high standard and it’s uncomfortable to witness! “Paris is vile/should be cancelled/I hate Paris now etc etc” Some of the comments I’ve read are downright vitriolic. Aaaaaand now we are going for her hair too?!

When Emily looks like a peeled boiled egg, Yas’ eyes look like two glassy balls darting around her head. Freddy’s teeth are so yellow the sun would need shades. I could go on. I won’t.

To make my final point (not for you Tullestar but for myself) Paris is a fallible human being and she’s allowed to be a cow (as are others on the show) and she’s allowed to look questionable, despite what salon is around the corner and how much money she has (again, as are others on the show). The criticism for her is too severe, too frequent highly unnecessary and unwarranted.

I don't think comments on Paris have been any worse or different to comments on other cast members and I don't see an issue with it. How you can go from saying comments are unwarranted to calling Emily a boiled egg etc, that's just the same thing but about a different person.Everyone has their own opinions and we don't all like the same people usually it's a healthy debate but this is just a big over reaction

If anybody needs to calm down, it's you. Clearly the injection of laughing emojis, that I inserted, within my post, went right over your head.

As for referring to my post as 'hysterical' - I'm not gonna take the bait hon, so nice try. Try that BS with someone else 🙄

Your entire post smacks of hypocrisy, it's laughable. People have commented on her personality, I've commented on her hair. So what? This is Tattle Life, if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Something I learnt very quickly when signing up.

You're getting on my nerves now, so I'm just gonna block you. Ciao!

Poor Paris… with commentators like that advising you on life hair choices and the like, who needs enemies eh?!

Phew! Thank God for that, don’t let the hysteria hit you on the way out…. Looks like somebody else couldn’t stand the heat after all… Toodles 👋

I’m all for debate, not once have I said I’m not. It’s the venom about her hair and her salon choices and talk of Brixton and Errol etc etc that were too much. Everyone’s hair looks tit tbf. Paris’ was attacked. Again. With vitriol. Nobody has implored Willow to go to Duck and Dry in the same way.

tbf, I think it’s a lot more loaded when you criticise a black woman’s hair, as opposed to Caucasian hair.

I think Paris’ hair is lovely. I used to not like natural afro hair, I guess because I never saw it much irl (I didn’t come from a very diverse area!) and it wasn’t around in media much growing up. Black celebrities all wore weaves - and I didn’t realise they were weaves! I thought Beyoncé’s hair was naturally that long and straight..!

im learning to appreciate natural afro hair though - especially when a friend of mine had a weave taken out and felt super self conscious about her hair. It’s awful to think that a whole section of society have been conditioned to think their hair isn’t pretty or good enough.

so yeh, I like Paris’ hair and even if I thought it looked awful, I’d probably refrain from commenting on it whereas if Maevas looked awful, I’d feel a little more comfortable with that. Because Maeva‘a hair type hasn’t been treated as undesirable or underrepresented.

tbh I think it’s completely feasible that a stylist wouldn’t know how to do black hair or have black make up etc. the lack of diversity for black actresses/models has been spoken about at length. The lack of diversity in makeup has been discussed at length.

I remember a clip went viral not so long ago - a fairly well known (American) black actress, Kat Graham, got emotional because a MUA on set had foundation and makeup for her colouring.

so yeh, if move/tv sets don’t routinely have diversity in their MU or stylings then I don’t think it’s crazy to suggest MIC wouldn’t either - it’s not like they have a diverse cast exactly.

I would say Maeva's hair has been just as harshly judged as Paris's but it's mostly on the James and Maeva thread rather than this one.

It might spill onto this one when her haircut is aired tbh.
I think it's always a thing with this show/any reality show; a cast member behaves like a dick and every aspect of their character - including their physical appearance - ends up coming under scrutiny and being judged. God knows I've said it enough times about awful Verity and her tacky hair extensions.

I guess with Paris - and what I think @Sliceofpizza might be getting at - is there's a slight sensitivity there because of her Paris' hair type, which isn't as easy to get pampered and preened and screen-perfect compared to most of the other girls on the show. They can get perfect Hollywood blow-dry in under an hour, and it's a relative walk in the park to achieve/maintain, compared to what I imagine Paris has to do to get her hair straightened etc. Plus an element of Paris embracing her natural hair type (which I think is the case) and not subscribing to the same hair-styling regimes as the other girls, and that being judged.

Not wanting to take sides or add fuel to the fire here...that's just how I read that side of the debate. I mean, like @cee-bee has commented, it's a bit of a loaded subject and not something I feel qualified to comment on, not having that lived experience. One thing I will say is that I had weave-style extensions years ago, and my God, those alone were a full-time - and bloody expensive - job to maintain! And that's about as far as my lived knowledge of the subject extends🤡
