Ok everyone agree to disagree and move on.
The thread is being derailed with arguments and it’s not fair on other members.
Some posts have remained on the thread and there is the option to take the topic to the general thread if necessary so as not to disrupt the MIC thread.

thank you! ☺️

Just watching the episode now but wow how stunning did Paris look in this episode!

I’m cracking up over Ruby not understanding why Miles went all cold on her - aww, c’mon, he only enjoyed the chase. He wants what he can’t have, and once he can have it, he doesn’t want it anymore!

Also, can’t believe I used to fancy Julius at the very beginning, he gives me such an ick 💀

Ollie and Gareth are entitled boring bratty snobs who believe money and status can afford them as they so desire. Ollie didn’t want children last series! I hate them, wish they’d leave the show - they are promoting something which is unethical by their standards and do not deserve what they are apparently fighting for.

what part is unethical? (Genuine question)

I can't answer for sliceofpizza about why they said it's unethical obviously but for me personally I feel similar. I think it's the way the whole thing is coming across. The entitlement is pouring through constantly. As they said, Ollie openly didn't even want kids only last year(?) ...it all comes across very "babies as accessories" imo tbh.

Ollie is lovely but there is something about Gareth I don't trust and that Sainsburys line ! I also think they were being very dramatic and spoilt in their reaction to the surrogacy not working, surely that's a very likely event to be prepared for . Its like they ( Gareth more) have just been so used to getting what they want instantly.

I think it was purely for the show? Like obviously they would be upset that it didn’t work but I’m pretty sure that’s not how you usually find out

Yeah I see what you mean I just thought they came across very entitled. It's not the end of the world and they are very privileged to have to money to keep trying until they succeed or go down another route like adoption. Just can't understand the mindset of thinking because they want it now they should get it like the newest designer bag out or something.

I didn’t view it like this tbf, you could tell Ollie had accepted it would be rare for the first one to work, Gareth probably didn’t realise what it would feel like but by the look of it on Instagram they’ve got something else coming out aka a show documenting the journey. Ollie seems to be better at “correctly” articulating how he feels in a more sensible and measured way but he isn’t as much of a hot head I don’t feel

Looks like they might be back together?

what part is unethical? (Genuine question)
The extreme entitlement, the accessory sentiment they seem to portray, the “I want it, I want it now”, the lack of acknowledgment for the surrogate; how she must feel or what what might be physically or mentally going through, they expressed little concern for her well being - just told her to “try again etc”
Their entire stance is unethical, irritating and very offensive in my opinion. I could go on, but I believe it’s been said already above.

Hope this helps answer your query

I believer they’re filming a show on this so you might see a different side to them or maybe it’ll reaffirm it for you
