so maybe the dining room is the secret project and she's begging for a new cinema room then.
That house actually looked better before she did any decorating, it's now become a cream/beige funeral home (quite fitting), that dining room was the only room with some colour and style and now she's neutralised it.
People say your home reflects your personality: Beige, boring, dried dead flowers, old fashioned, no originality, ideas stolen from everyone, everything begged, and delusions of grandeur, boot room, russian room, the list goes on.
I can't wait for Christmas with the MG's - shall we take a bet on how long it takes before she starts missing days and getting ill? I reckon by 10th December she'll be done.
The all-cream/pearl grey tonal look worked well in her old house because it was small, and it gave it a light and airy look. Because she was a minimalist back then (lack of clutter I mean, not aesthetic), the overall effect was that her home was cozy yet sleek. It certainly looked a lot bigger than the 600sf that it was.
Since we all liked her old home better, she’s trying to recreate that aesthetic, but doesn’t understand exactly how. Since it’s a much larger home, that same approach won’t give the same effect. She should work with a professional designer who will understands the nuances required to achieve this look properly. But of course our madam won’t, as she’s a) too cheap and b) uses her trial and error approach as “content”
