Lydia CONTINUES to always deliberately miss the point. She is doing this 'it's easier to list everything as PR' routine and claiming that she's doing it for her audiences benefit. She doesn't want viewers to know the truth!

I've said this in her comments before, but why is it so difficult to understand that her audience want to know what is gifted and what is paid for, so they can make their own informed decision on whether to purchase something. When you have affiliate links or have been gifted or given vouchers to purchase items, YOU HAVE A VESTED INTEREST IN PROMOTING THEM! When you've paid for it yourself with NO incentive, people may be more convinced to also spend their hard earned money. Why is that so hard to understand Lydia??

She did the same with her size, saying that she only mentions it for reference because it's for her audiences benefit. Again, purposely missing the point. No-one has a problem with her saying 'I'm a size 6 and all these items are a 6 so are true to size' and leaving it at that, it's because she continuously says that things are way too big for her (when they fit her just fine) or repeatedly tells us she's a size whatever, over and over, when just saying it once at the start, or repeatedly saying how much weight she's lost. Her and Vic From both now say they're a size 4 when they used to be a 6-8. She loves people to know how thin she is under the guise that she's being helpful.

Alright Banana, you've had your rant, now show us the boot room.

She’s scared. Scared she’ll lose everything if she’s honest about how she gets everything for free and that her words counts for nothing. Tho some won’t care, there will most likely be A LOT of subscribers who do care that she tells them to buy things on her recommendations and then it turns out to be full of tit. That they’ve been lied to the entire time.

It’s strange that’s for sure. But then again the majority of the masses have no idea about reality so....

But some of the comments on the vlog are frightening - that there are people out there that are so dumb, writing 'thank you so much for the video you don't know how much its helped me' it wasn't a vlog on depression, it was a vlog on MyTheresa. Some morons out there for sure, most are subscribed to her channel!

Also, I would put money on the fact that one of the authorities has spoken to her about her non-declaration of goods, that or she is expecting a visit. So in a childish manner she has thrown all her toys out of her pram and said, well I'll declare it all as gifted/PR if you're going to get picky, that or she is just so lazy this is an umbrella way of dealing with all those links and she thinks her audience will eventually shut up with the questions and she'll have less work to do in the long run.

Consider this....
a future Ali rave thread post

I watched his “how I film my IGTV” upload and it has to be said, he REALLY puts the work in where Lydia doesn’t.
Everything is labelled as a “press product” if it is, but that aside the work he puts into his IG stories is impressive.

He still belongs at the self service checkout helping me with my unknown item, but whatever 😐

We love you Ali 💯🤩🙏

The thing is, I have watched numerous you tube videos about influencers ruining their own industry. Lidl can buy all the fake followers she wants but at the end of the day they won't translate to sales. The more fake followers she buys will just bring her conversion rate even further down compared to smaller organic channels with less followers, that get better returns. I think this is why smaller influencers are seen in bigger campaigns. Brands can tell their engagement is more genuine. She is literally shooting herself in the foot every time she buys her bulk followers. So you keep doing that lidl. Also companies are now losing billions because SM people are faking so much engagement. A lot of companies are now turned off.

Is that part of the new legislation on hate speech? *trying to resist the temptations to laugh here*

It was originally meant to preserve a name thats all really if inherited (like in my family the male (my fathers' family has that hugely) or rights to inheritence, though I don't know with my father with both more so preservation than inheritence I'd have thought logically, there must be two middle names taken from an ancestor like my dads is Andrew James (Andrew after my Great Grandfather Andrew Bruce my late Grandmothers father and after his father with the 2nd middle name being of course James) though lacks any double barrel.

"Back in days of yore, names were closely tied to notions of inheritance. If a family lacked any male descendants, creating a double-barrelled surname was a way of preserving a name that would otherwise have died out – and of keeping the estate in the family (just think of the plot of every other costume drama…). " https://tattle.life/threads/19920/ actually thats not just that family/surnames were about sometimes what they did for work like Smiths being named after the job of being Black Smiths (metal work/craft or some other thing other than work like Campbell (though being more from Irish Gaelic and then Anglicanised accordingly means Crooked Mouth essentially).

They're just pretentious twats, they had no reason to combine last names besides that fact that they both probably thought it sounded more stately and old money. She could have just taken his last name but kept her social media under "Lydia Millen" for brand purposes. My mother in law gave my husband her surname as a middle name because her brother died when she was young and it would have ended with him after she got married. She didn't want to hyphenate her married name and give my husband a ridiculously long last name, so that was a good compromise to keep the surname going. I ended up doing the same with my son, because i'm sentimental.

don’t get too worried,
hell hasn’t frozen over just yet. 😐

she mentions a “voucher” but fails to mention exactly how much of the haul (all of it) was a freebie!

Ughh I don't understand what is so difficult to telling her "supporters" the truth. Also, how can she title the vlog "luxury worth spending on" when she hasn't even bleeping worn them!!! How does she know it's worth it, oh it's such and such designer it must be worth it..*sigh*

‘Luxury’ (I use the term loosely) brands aren’t worth it. Yes there are some items that are hand made but once u learn the truth of how cheaply most are made, how disgusting they are with their use of animals and poorly paid staff, so on, and yeah now we know they gift so much away to nobodies etc we are all seeing how our money is better spent elsewhere. Not many of those brands are impressive anymore (like seeing everyone with a LV bag, Gucci belt, Hermes belt, etc) and almost all are marked up hundreds of percent more than the cost to produce it.

Influenzers have cheapened all the luxury brands. There’s no way I’d give my money to a $4000 bag when someone else got it for free just because they have a following on social media.

There are genuine, good quality small brands in accessories, clothing, skincare, beauty, haircare, footwear etc that are much better to invest in. And better quality.

Look at La Mer. Cheap nasty ingredients with a ‘mystery’ ingredient from the sea that has zero proof of what it is and zero proof that it does anything. Main ingredients include mineral oil which is cheap & made from petroleum. It’s all marketing & branding themselves as luxury. People fall for the bullshit. It used to be celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and lots of others who swore by la mer BUT they were paid to say they used it and given it for free.

Look at hope smith. A model who married a billionaire and was told to use la mer everyday to prevent stretch marks. She researched the ingredients & discovered how they are nasty and didn’t want to use them while pregnant and has now gone on to having create an all natural, nourishing body balm & oil.

Luxury brands that sell to the general public are all advertising and creating this perception that you’re better if you own it. But it’s all bullshit. The real luxury items aren’t sold in shops, they are presented to the private shoppers of millionaires & billionaires.

When lidl is walking around wearing a $1,000,000 watch, with a multi million dollar car collection, living in a $20,000,000+ mansion with staff, kids in elite private schools, dripping in rare jewels, vacationing all over the world in private locations (paid for by herself), travelling by first class or private jet everywhere (once again her footing the bill), maybe then I’ll buy her whole ‘luxury’ wishful thinking.
I know (may have said this before) LV (Louis Vuitton) in a nutshell were big for makin custom made luggage for the French lets just say very high society, if you have enough money to throw at something they still do that and will make something for you only thats yeah not available to the public. They always have done that infact they've never stopped, the mass quantity stuff they put their name on however that doesnt really cost at all that much really is made in factories in the far east usually or somewhere like that (think Chanel don't do that exactly or rather they don't do seconds like things that don't quite make the grade they'll bang into places like McArthur Glen just outside of York etc things they could sell but haven't made quite the quality standard but want to make money out of still but is good enough to sell still.

I know there's a jewellery company in Harrogate on Parliament Street where its by appointment only they don't open to the public, yeah they'll show things in the displays but they won't accept anyone just walking in there, also if you want to talk about how much something costs then you shouldn't be in there it's as simple as that, my first step brother his wife one of her uncles I think it is (one of her relatives anyhow) works for the company certainly at least in middle management of the company the same one that shop is.

I know Ray Ban (not sure about the US) but the one in Europe is made by Luxotica an Italian company, they make theirs in factories in Italy I believe but dont quote me on that

Beccabanana's gone quiet... Do you think she's busy 'styling up' her boot room to take a pic for us? :)

haha!! I'm here, promise! Unexpected visitor took me away from all the action here! I messaged you my insta, so the boot room can be seen. It's def not 'styled up' - I didn't have any spare books to paint or receive 'care packages' full of candles and blankets from Neptune :-(
