I just can’t think what I’d do with the house to make it feel nice. I’d want my bedroom upstages that’s for sure. I just wouldn’t want a house where most of the rooms were based in a dingy basement. Ive said this before, but they bought that house for the big window in the kitchen. The rest of it is mediocre. They could create an amazing garden and woodland but they’re clueless and too busy faffing around with adding crap like raised beds and bee hives and hot tubs.

Why does she insist on calling walking, hiking? It really grinds my gears! Hiking in the UK is basically climbing up a mountain. Walking in the countryside is just that - walking. They call it hiking in America. Speak ENGLISH Lydia. You’re going for a Sunday walk. Well done.

She will be shocked when she finds out what a real hike is ! She should go to the french Alpes or even closer go and do some munros in scotland !

Yes! I looooove to go for long walks (3< hours) and my running shoes are adequate enough.
They are ridiculous, two airheads with excessive gear "hiking" their way through the fields (maybe Ali got captured by a sunflower?).
 
She’s back on the hike pub crawl BS again. Second stop!

To me it looks more like it would have been another sitting room.
Maybe as they got older or maybe one of them became ill, they may have felt that it would be easier to live in the one space. Hence having the bedroom, kitchen and living together. Being close to the front door for emergencies. That's really the only explanation I can think.
Either way, its not a house I would have bought. Especially as it doesn't have a garage.

It has a garage. That's where they've put the big freezer and olf fridge to store all of their beige foods.

after potato-gate last week, next week flog will feature some random poor soul who has been dragged in by Lydia Millen (not Gordon) to a "proper feast" SHE (not carrie) cooked up. The flog will also feature some other luxury cooking-ware she had been kindly gifted. The brand lydia millen is all about country wife featuring man-servant husband, wiping the counter with white linen dresses, and cooking up nice meals (not bare potatoes with microwaved beans in a melted plastic) for her beloved friends.
