I always thought it was so strange having the master down by the kitchen and the spare rooms all down the other end of the house like servants quarters! I often wonder how they’ll reconfigure when/if they have kids because it’s generally a lot nicer to have a nursery near the parents room. However, they’ll probably rope in someone to be a ‘night nanny’ 🙄
Ali will become a wet nurse.

I have thought a great deal of how I would configure the house if it were mine. At the end of the day it simply does not work for their specific needs. No matter how often it’s reconfigured it simply won‘t ever meet their requirements. It must have been bought in haste. Rather than spend/waste any more money on it (never wise to throw money at a problem) it would be so much better if they sold it quickly before any more black walls emerge and bought a house that already has a larger landscaped garden with a greenhouse and raised beds etc and light airy rooms inside. An old rectory would be ideal where the office could be annexed outside and all the bedrooms could be upstairs. They would probably only have to deal with cosmetics, bathrooms and kitchen then. That money would be well spent as it would increase the value. Little of the present plans will increase the value and may possibly reduce the sale valuation. Changing the colour of the paint all the time changes nothing. It’s the space that’s wrong. If this genuinely is their forever home then they are committed to forever being dissatisfied with it. This might be the right time to buy. There are some serious bargains at the moment.

I’ve been looking on the Alitex website. Rather than getting a greenhouse Lydia should get one of their lovely conservatories instead.

Love reading everyone's ideas of what they would do to her bungalow. Personally I would have put the master bedroom upstairs and a shared dressing room. But its such a tit layout if you dont do it that way nothing works. I mean you wouldnt want your bedroom and dressing rooom in the basement would you? 🤪

sell the damn thing 😏
and hopefully some bleeping nutjob idiot will buy it on impulse like lydia did,
All because she couldn’t get the house she wanted 😬 I DON’T CARE DADDY I NEED A NEW HOUSE NOW!!!!! Sorry I mean Ali 😮

Unfortunately I've been issued with a warning for attempting to upload the floor plans.
I did ask first and they were in the public domain on the estate agent's particulars.
Apologies.
Where did you find them?

I just can’t think what I’d do with the house to make it feel nice. I’d want my bedroom upstages that’s for sure. I just wouldn’t want a house where most of the rooms were based in a dingy basement. There’s nothing you can do to create more light where it doesn’t exist. I’d much prefer a traditional layout of a house.
Ive said this before, but they bought that house for the big window in the kitchen. The rest of it is mediocre. They could create an amazing garden and woodland but they’re clueless and too busy faffing around with adding crap like raised beds and bee hives and hot tubs.

Why does she insist on calling walking, hiking? It really grinds my gears! Hiking in the UK is basically climbing up a mountain. Walking in the countryside is just that - walking. They call it hiking in America. Speak ENGLISH Lydia. You’re going for a Sunday walk. Well done.

Melted sweaty cheese marinated in soggy warm pickle juice sandwiches, yum !

Love reading all of your house re-organisation ideas XD. If I had all the money in the world and was stuck with that house I'd have to dig large terraces all around the house with a "slope" instead of straight grey walls. And put french windows in the downstairs room to be able to fully use them. I would never buy a million pound house with half of the it being in the basement, seriously what tf?

There seems to always be a what can I get out of someone with her ! Her new found friendships :
Josie - to get “inspiration “ from her house
To get a recommendation to soho house
Amelia - to get the 2nd recommendation needed for soho house
To get a recommendation to Hermes ( as she can’t from Claire or her mate from luxury promise 🤣🤣
Watch this space

The previous owners might have come up against resistance at putting a three-storey house on that plot when they knocked the old property down to build this one. So to get around that and not build a property that would be too imposing on that plot, they dug it out, tanked it all and built (hid) one of the floors underground. It might have been that there was planning permission granted for a property of a certain height which was sold with the plot with the original house on it. Planning Permission in the UK, especially in conservation areas (controlled by covenants) is tricky to obtain.

And the dead/ dying flowers on the photo.... agree about hiking - there is no in hiking in UK, unless hiking such as “ take a Hike, Lydia!”

In this video, (which was uploaded on 25th May) what plans for the house are they submitting? Or is it just a clickbait title?

On 27th July they submitted plans for a new replacement porch but I'm just curious if she was talking about different plans in the vlog?

This bookcase and the arrangement on it is my personal nightmare. The bleeping chaos. Is she blind?
Bookcase with no books and wine instead. Stuff haphazardly thrown on the shelves. WTF? It is sad really that such poorly educated people have gained notoriety and now they try to appear well read and inspirational. Young people must think them new intelligentsia, but most pretty influencers ( with good filming/vlogging skills) struggle to talk about history or any factual content. Example: Watched mumbling Josie trying to explain history of her house. Cringe was real. None of them knows how to do research and present the learned information. Nevermind uni, how the hell did they finish high school?!?

Completely random but sometimes I see Lydiot and remember of the actress Lyndsy Fonseca. And I don't know what it is because when I see their pictures side by side they don't look alike. But must be my brain seeing blue eyes, tan skin, brown hair and strong eyebrows... Weird. And I hate it because Lyndsy Fonseca is beautiful and this would not be a compliment to her XD

Why do you need a sandwich to go for a walk?
I can't stand when she says "my husband" or :Mr Millen Gordon", I want to punch her in the head!
Does anyone know why she doesn't use Gordon as her surname anymore?
Lastly will you all stop giving her ideas for renovations, you know she reads here . My bet is she will change the dressing rooms top floor to a master bedroom now that she has read all your ideas. I tell you I'll shoot myself if she starts remodelling the house. (Figure of speech, I wont really shoot myself)
