I honestly don't understand the statement "This is an outfit my grandmother would wear". I mean, that's all well and good, but YOU are still a young woman - why would you want to literally dress like a grandma?!
Yes, exactly! ikr?!
Her desperation knows no bounds. I think because she's on a mission to prove to naysayers there is a history that connect her past to present, whether that be her clothing choices i.e "dressing like grandma", home interior, cars, furniture, lifestyle, all brought up in order to associate anything she does or wears today, resemble (in her mind) 'old money/wealth' style, to make herself look and sound credible. She wants to convince everyone it's all linked back to her family roots and background and where she comes from.
These regular little comments she makes, along the lines of, my grandmother wore a pinkie ring, she drove an aston martin and defender, she competed in horse shows, my outfits are what my grandmother used to wear... with her shirt collar up (that looks like count dracula's collar). Or my uncle carlo painted murals for "famous people". Or my grandfather had a big successful business he wore tailor made suits, they went to fancy parties and their house was filled with lots of expensive heirlooms, and trinkets, all the bells and whistles, you name it, her family wore it, had it, or did it, nothing is off limits or extravagant enough. It's comical how far she will go with it all, to keep her bs narrative chugging along. The more she keeps telling everyone her tall stories the more unlikely it is.
