You need a dbs check. I wasn't allowed to start my job until it comes back all clear, but they still give you a potential start date (thats just my experience though)

She may have to pay £55 for that too , some places cover it , some don't , her one from uni/college won't cover it either, has to be a new one for each job.

Yeah a dbs probably would of sorted that at interview stage I’m not sure
