So I’ve been trying to do a bit of googling. I believe (someone can correct me) as far as I found there is no direct link.
I think it’s more about being in an “elite” club and almost banding together to cover stuff over (I think).
I don’t necessarily think being a Freemason makes you a murderer nor that you’d cover for one, but having said that, it appears in this scenario, it may have played a part in why her dad was involved/talking to executives to try push all this under the carpet
Do not ever undersetimate the power of Masonic links. Shaun Attwood's father used his Yorkshire Masonic links and managed to get Attwood out of a 50 year jail sentence for millions of dollars of drug trafficking in the US. Ghislaine's Masonic links shielded her for almost as many decades as they shielded Savile and if Letby's father and hospital management both had Masonic links it would indeed explain a great deal about why they supported her in ways which no other nurse accused of mispractice has ever experienced.

I think as others have said, they’ve put their loyalty to Letby above all else and just run with it. He’s fed them the line it couldn’t possibly be true and they’ve taken him at his word. When it started to drag on, and members of the masons (hospital managers) became party to the seriousness of the allegations and that there was talk of police being involved they should have stepped back and offered legal support only. The fact that threats were made to the doctors about being reported to GMC and losing not only their jobs but their careers is very sinister indeed and shows how far these men will go to protect one of their own. It’s unforgivable of the hospital execs but I predict nothing much will come of it, and it will be the female/non Masonic staff who failed here that will be thrown under the bus. I hope Lady Thirlwall gives them all hell at the inquiry.

When the verdicts were first announced, there was a huge amount of criticism in media and on social media of the hospital management. Since all of the innocence conspiracies have filtered into mainstream media the heat has taken off them and the vitriol has been redirected at the witnesses; Dr Ravi and Dewi Evan etc. If Harvey and Chambers do have links to the masons, it wouldn't suprise if they they used these connections to create a media spin in their favour.

It’s occurred to me again that there are regulatory bodies for medical professionals and social workers and such (NMC, GMC etc) but I don’t think there’s such a thing for healthcare managers who are no longer, or never were, a registered practitioner. Also, if they are involved in scandals or whatever they just seem to move to another high paid position somewhere else with no sanctions whereas a nurse would have “conditions of practice” or striking off orders. It seems like this should be addressed somehow but I don’t think this inquiry would be the place.

It’s actually being covered under Part C of the terms of reference for this inquiry. So I definitely think Lady Thirlwall will consider this and make recommendations as a result. Whether the government implement the recommendations though is another matter.

Just looking through evidence from yesterday.

7 babies on this document who suddenly deteriorated but survived, but not on the indictment as they are censored as ‘I&S’ so don’t have ciphers.

Compeltely irrelevant but Stephen Cross pointed this out, which everyone agreed to yet the name stayed the same!

gives me anxiety because this is minutes from a meeting with the exec and Cheshire police (May 2017) and basically police saying they will be guided by COCH and currently no evidence of criminality. it’s so worrying to see how easily she could have got away with this if it wasn’t for the consultant’s persistence.

I need to read more but it seems Dr J emailed police (Nigel Wenham) directly but everyone agreed (COCH and police) he added no new information. But police decided they would meet with him personally to ensure he had nothing else to disclose. I’m wondering if it was that meeting that finally turned it into a police investigation.

here’s some extracts from the exec in that meeting. You can see that they were just hoping the police would confirm ‘nothing to see here’ so they can get the consultants to move on. It’s a long document but worth a read.

Many patients at COCH are from Wales is perhaps his thinking. Anyway this clown doesn't know anything worth knowing.

He has posted this article, where it states that some of the babies on the indictment were from Wales. Flintshire, a county in North Wales is included in the catchment area for the countess of Chester, so It is normal for mothers from this area to cross over the boarder and give birth in Chester it doesn't mean anything.

None of the indictment babies were born in Wales. So is he talking about the non indictment babies that we don't know about.

FB 🤡 Christopher Lloyd keeps posting about babies from Wales too. He’s yet to reply as to which of the babies are from Wales though.

It’s just another piece of nothing from thick, ugly men who are desperate to find something to cast doubt on the convictions. Even if it’s just made up nonsense.

I actually think Nigel Wenham is a bit of a hero too. For believing in the consultants and turning it int a criminal investigation as a result. It was launched the same day he met the consultants - 15th May

Notes from that meeting

yeh Nige and the CDOP chair Hayley Frame, were the only two, truly independent people (her being a Social Worker and him Police) that soon as they heard about the numbers of deaths (as they only knew of Child A and Child I) in that meeting with Ian Harvey, said woooahhhhh this doesn’t feel right.

I liked this bit from the meeting

NW added an observation that Dr Jayaram has sent the email directly to the police and bypassed the
COCH executive team.

The article says they are looking into whether Betsi should have stopped referring babies to Coch when the death rate rose.

Some of the families lived in Wales but I don't think any of the indictment babies where born there or treated there.
