Ah Lucy she so QUIRKY …
---
I’m honestly gobsmacked at Eirian Powell. She sounds like a horrible person to work with. She had her favourite pets, those she disliked and an “us and them” attitude to running the unit. And so much she couldn’t recall. 🙄 And those despicable comments about Baby H’s mother, this poor woman was so vulnerable. EP is someone without any compassion or insight just like Letby. No wonder they got on.
It’s a shame all this stuff wasn’t in the trial because it paints a much clearer picture of what a shitshow the unit was and how Letby was causing harm long before the incidents of 2015-16. Mind you it would probably be still ongoing if that were the case.
I still feel bad for the parents of the children she wasn’t convicted of harming.

Baby Hs mum.. wow EP is a heartless witch!

Oh that is interesting, I've wondered what people found odd or quirky about her specifically (apart from the obvious). One example is she refused to go on the tube because of July 7th bombings. I expect most people have that somewhere in the back of their minds when they go on the tube, but you still go on it.

I reckon she was brought up very fearful of everything and wrapped in cotton wool.

It does sound like she has a massive chip on her shoulder about consultants. So when a consultant raised issues about her "creme de la creme" Letby, she took that personally. Personal to her ability to hire nurses, and personal to her entrenched beliefs about inequalities between nurses and consultants. Where was her objectivity at that point?

This is all so disturbing; I can't believe there aren't repercussions to not acting on concerns about staff, ESPECIALLY when she knew about the morphine error, and that LL was in fact NOT creme de la creme, she was tit.

Two triplets die unexpectedly but all the concern is for Letby

This email was sent, I think, about 12 days after the triplets' death and the plan looks to move her to days and away from ITU. There's no mention at this point about moving her to the office job. I wonder what changed from this point to moving her away from patient contact. I cannot remember when she attacked the last baby, had this happened by 28 June and were they not taking it seriously because that baby survived. I looked at the Wiki but couldn't just see it.

This email was sent, I think, about 4 after the triplets' deaths and the plan looks to move her to days and away from ITU. There's no mention at this point about moving her to the office job. I wonder what changed from this point to moving her away from patient contact. It looks like she attacked baby Q on 25 June but there is no mention in the email about the problem with that baby while under the care of Letby and I wonder if this is because the baby survived.

I have revised this message after looking at the Wiki.

I’ve not read the transcripts but just from the posts, what you guys have said I’m wondering if EP saw herself in Letby. Like if she was “quirky” and through her career she’s been treated a certain type of way that when the consultant raised something, it’s taken an extra layer of defensiveness. I wonder if she too had run ins with consultants in her career and this automatically thinks back to that. Which then makes her double down again on her “judgement” for employing LL etc I hope my rambling makes sense 🤣

I’m still only about half way through I think. My toddlers made more sense than this guff. Losing your place is soul destroying. Wading through which bit
“Well…so. On the unit…what it is is that…someone came to tell me something important that they couldn't remember what it was….and the meeting…I don’t know and creme de la creme…nobody saw anything and what it is. I had no concerns. Except for all the very concerning things. Yes. Yes. Yes. Sorry what was the question?”

The poor parents having to listen to her for the day, not one bit of humility or actually awareness that she did anything wrong, I can’t remember doesn’t cut it for me.
Putting Myself in her shoes and making a table of deaths and realising LL was common denominator and doing F all about it, [ I wonder what it would have taken for her too) instead all she done was stuck up for quirky Letby. She wasn’t bloody quirky she’s an evil bloody murderer!
I think she still thinks she’s innocent 🤮
Mondays transcripts are still not up, I wonder what happened

I was getting to a point where she was doing the chart etc, where I thought “oooh it’s actually clicking with her isn’t it…” - and then it seemed like she had an “oh tit” moment and added in the doctors on duty to make it look better for ol’ Quirky - then actively buried her Karen hair-cut in the sand and went on the defense 🫠

The protocol the nurse/ docs weren’t meant to go near other nurse’s designated babies, I don’t understand how Letby was never pulled up on it - she was all over everyone’s flipping babies. She just was in there doing what she wanted with managements blessing. She has such a weird Svengali hold over them, weirds me out 🤢

There’s something interesting in that meeting about the triplets that Noname says he conveniently left just before everyone started saying Letby could be responsible 🤔 yet was there to hear everyone saying how brilliant she was 🤔 and then he went out the door and that’s obviously the moment people went “oh actually she’s been on shift for everything and some of us think she’s a murderer”🙄

after this meeting he breaks confidentiality to message letby and tell her that everyone said how good she was in the resus of baby P. But it actually looks like HE said that the doc from the transfer team had told him she was and then Eirian has gone out of her way to contact this doctor (Dr. Rackham). He’ll be giving evidence so interested to see what he says. bleeping Powell and Noname working their bollocks off to make Letby look creme de la creme. Phlegm de la phlegm.

In a document written by EP on 5/5/16, she states in relation to LL, "there are no performance management issues, and there are no members of staff that have complained to me or others regarding her performance."

Surely by May 2016, EP was aware of what was being said about LL on the unit and had doctors by this point raised concerns with her? So the above statement isn't true?

In another document she says that in a 26th May '16 meeting, someone stood up, pointed at her and said, "you are harbouring a murderer". How would it go from no complaints, nothing reaching EP about concerns over LL by 5th May 2016, to full blown accusations just 19 days later?

Just searched the transcript from yesterday and it is clearly a total lie in that 5/5/16 document, because she'd already moved her to day shifts! She HAD heard complaints about LL by that point and so did her little experiment of moving to day shifts. Surely there are consequences to misrepresenting or writing untrue statements in a neonatal review document? She should be stripped of her NHS pension and prosecuted.
