The Thirlwall Inquiry starts on Tuesday 10th September.

There is lots of information on the inquiry here

A good starting point is the inquiry terms of reference which details the aims of the inquiry and what it will investigate.

Another infuriating article which sensationally makes points not actually backed up by evidence.

Jane Hawdon was asked to review the notes but I thought she said she didn't have time to throughly review the notes.

Jane ( the statistics lady from the podcast) seems to not actually know the triplets were almost 34wks and over 2 Kg, born in good condition and shared a placenta with their surviving triplet.

They went to detail about the babies medical records, birth weights etc. The stupid woman couldn't even be arsed to read the court of appeal document, so it doesn't supprise me that she has failed to look up basic details about the babies the are on the public domain. Liz Hull and Caroline informed her of the birth weights when she ignorantly claimed that none of babies would have been admitted after the unit was downgraded despite the fact many of the babies were over 32 weeks.

Does Jane Hutton not wonder why the surviving triplet was the baby that needed the most attention survived and his two healthier brothers who Letby was designated nurse to died.

Re: Jane Hawdon. Even Lucy’s defence didn’t want to use her ‘expertise’ in court. I expect there were significant problems with her assessments of the babies.

Right I've googled Jane Hawdon, she was asked to look into 17 deaths by CoC,( this was when Letby had been removed from NNU but was still working for the trust) she felt four needed a forensic investigation but didn't have time to review them properly so just wrote a report on how to improve the safety of the unit.
Isn't it amazing how newspapers twist things to suit their agenda. The sewage problem has been hyped up to the point where people will think the nurses were constantly knee deep in sh*t.

The article has no sense of irony.

If the unit was "out of it's depth" perhaps it might have been because one of it's nurses had become qualified to work in intensive care and was using those new skills and new access to attack and kill babies.

In July 2016 the RCPCH reported that "staff reported feeling calmer and more confident and morale/sickness has improved". Well why might that have been? Perhaps because a serial killer had been removed from the unit
---
"The authors of study – Mothers and Babies: reducing risk through audits and confidential enquires across the UK – looked at stillbirth and neonatal deaths occurring at 165 maternity units around the country in 2015.

They found that the Countess of Chester hospital had the highest neonatal mortality rate of 43 similar-sized hospitals in Britain, with 1.91 deaths per 1,000 births, compared with an average of 1.27 at the other hospitals.

The hospital’s “crude” neonatal death rate – the number of deaths compared with the amount of births – was 2.96 per 1,000 births in that time, according to the study, meaning it was higher than that of all other similar-sized hospitals as well as the national average of 2.5 deaths per 1,000 births."

The neonatal death rates in 2014 were around average at the COCH. So I wonder what changed in 2015 to make the rate shoot up?
---
The rate was also about average in 2013. You have to be a complete idiot to fail to realise why it shot up in 15/16.

Has anyone seen the news about the GOSH orthopedic doctor whose cases are being reviewed and in some severe inflicted harm has been found? Very nice kind face. 🤨
Has he got kind eyes? And does he leave sparkles wherever he goes? Wonder if he will get a fan club too? But seriously, those poor kids have suffered huge harms, he needs to be in prison with Letby if he's found guilty. He can buy her Freddos from the prison shop

I’ve not seen it but the solicitor of six of the families has spoken on bbc breakfast and radio 4 this morning.

"She added for a number of the parents, they "weren't even aware that their children had suffered any kind of collapses or incidents on that unit" until they were contacted by the police."

I've defended the operation of the unit but if this is true it's very poor.

Yeah I was reading the inquiry outline this morning thinking why the duck did I spend Sunday defending it 🤗🤡 💁🏻‍♀️ I know I’m a knob but I like to think I accept when I’m wrong 😬
I just feel horrible for them because only one person on that unit wanted suffering. I remember all the negative things parents had to say about the unit but my mind also tends to go back to thinking that they were literally trying to operate with this horrific sadistic force at work. How manic it was, that babies would get better just to be sabotaged, they were always fighting against that. She’s the reason why junior doctors like Harkness on that unit thought that babies collapsed all the time. That she would literally do things because it was quiet and everyone was doing well or she would do things because she knew multiples were being brought down so she’d make another baby collapse. The staff must have been just trying to keep their head above water all the time but some things are obviously unacceptable 😣

I still feel like she was doing lots of lower level things. That’s why all the questions in the inquiry about what they knew about letby before she started at CoCH interest me.. maybe there was more evidence of trouble making 🤷🏻‍♀️ Even things like all the blue towel Lorenzo said was being found in the sinks.. my bet is on her!
I know there was incidents of indisputable suboptimal care but I don’t think there was a culture of terrible clinical care, I think most of the staff that gave evidence sound like incredibly caring people that have continued careers and progressed. I accept though I’m going to be supremely disappointed in things too 😞

That twit Shaun Attwood was on Live yesterday with John Wedger who's been promising for a decade to expose all the major pdf files in British govt & policing but never named a single name. They believe Letby is the scapegat for a Masonic Child Abuse ring centred at the C of C & led by Dr Jayram. He was coining it in. people donating $50US at a time to say "you are da man Shaun" & have him read it out.

Well tbf the two spouting it don't believe it but he had thousands in his live chat swallowing it hook line and sinker.

A little background on Attwood for those lucky enough to have never come across him.
He was a bright boy from t'north, became a young London City banker, made a lot of money, took a lot of coke & mdma. So much so he started selling a bit. Then more than a bit. Ended up in the US selling boatlaods of it. He was known in the scene as Englsh Shaun.

Got arrested, was set to do a long hard time in the US system so he grassed up everyone in his little black book of dealers and distributors, got released early and came home. Then built a very successful YouTube career off the back of pretending he was a hard man. Tapped into the Q anon bs and rocketed the channel in popualrity. Oddly as a sideline his channel also runs a gossip site about the royal family and spends a lot of time rimming Kate & Wills.

Also oddly for a man so positive that everyone everywhere is a pdf file, he has been vlogging his kid harder than any Instagram Mummy Influencer since he was in utero. I am pretty sure they vlogged the birth. They sure as hell recently had a photo of the child in just a nappy as a birthday tribute on his YT Community page.
Hypocritical chancer.

It's suggestive of a culture of not wanting to confront issues - even hiding them from wider scrutiny - which is consistent with the inaction over Letby. Parents have to be told of any incidents regarding their children - anything else is very poor practice.

Afternoon fellas, happy Thirlwall Eve- our friend Richard is being as charming as ever.....

This sort of BS is causing witnesses from the Letby trial to be attacked in the street. These nutters need locking up
