I'm a bit late to the conversation but I did enjoy her Disney videos. I'm a huge Disney fan and I'm 30 this year. I've been to 3 of the parks and hope to visit again and visit the Asian ones when things are normal but I just don't like how she always makes comments about Disney which she didn't do before and is clearly just begging for freebies.

I don't think Adam is being mean in those cooking videos, I think she's taking it as the joke he's meaning it as. I'm always calling my husband an English twit (no offence to anyone here) as I'm Scottish and he always calls me an alcoholic despite the fact I don't drink. As long as they both know they're joking and aren't hurting each others feelings I don't see an issue.. Things always look worse from the outside as we don't know how they like to be with each other, if that makes sense? I really like their relationship, it reminds me of mine in a way and it seems really healthy.

I love it too. I like everything except the floor and walls but just not in that bathroom. It's way too small and I just don't see it being very practical? Like, sure, they might make It work for them but surely you'd want to make it appeal to others/families when you're selling?

I remember reading this but I tried it once and felt like a tit. I'd rather just smile like a normal person 😂 although, may try get husband to do it as when we're taking pictures/having photos taken he's basically Chandler getting his engagement photos taken in friends 😂

This really grinds my gears. Now she's shopping at Kate Spade on a Monday afternoon, such a hard job/life she has. Surely Adam must see her whining about how hard she has it and just want to shake her?

I don't even thinks she's genuine with her ads. She does any ad going and most of the time that's the only time she upload on any platform 🙄 but adulting is hard, taps are expensive oh noooo.

When we reach page 50 or so would be the time - it normally gives you a prompt when you reach that stage. But it's OK to suggest titles in advance 💜

I kind of wondered if it would be worth creating a thread under Gurus or elsewhere anyway, since this has turned into a very non Rave thread. I do wonder if there are huge Lucy fans on here who don’t feel comfortable posting on this thread?

Yes this pisses me off so much. Fine, she's always gone on about Harry Potter but NEVER Disney. And she's been saying lately how she wants to go back, which I was surprised at, as her boyf didnt seem to love it in the vlogs. But does just look like she's begging for another free trip. I will be really annoyed if she's given another one, purely because i think the Disney love is fake, and once is enough to get a majorly expensive holiday that some people only dream of for free.

It’s not an ad or a sponsored video.. she was sent them as PR which is marked in the description? Same with the Hawaiian tropic stuff. It’s just gifted, she hasn’t been paid to promote it. No one marks their pr unboxing hauls as an ad.
 
If you work with a brand to create some content that you’ll be posting on your own channels, it’ll qualify as an ad if the brand:
1. ‘paid’ you in some way (can be freebies, doesn’t have to be money),
and 2. had some form of editorial ‘control’ over the content, including just final approval.
It’s not an ‘either/or’ – there has to be both ‘payment’ and ‘control’ for this type of post to count as an ad under the CAP Code.
However, consumer protection legislation still applies where there has been ‘payment’ (i.e. any form of monetary payment, a loan of a product/service, any incentive and/or commission or the product/service has been given free) but no ‘control’ and this is enforced by the CMA.

Nah, ASA doesn’t even cover it. And she did disclose that she had been sent it, she didn’t make out like she paid for it so it’s in line with the CMA. See below from the ASA website.

I wish putting AD in the thumbnail wasn't allowed - content creators often put it in a corner so if you hover the mouse over it, the "AD" hides behind the "watch later" button. I have watched a number of videos which looked like non-AD and only when I went back to my subscriptions page, I could see the tiniest AD in the corner of the thumbnail and every single time it happened, I felt screwed.

Yes I definitely think it is moving towards the point where she should have something other than a rave thread (and obviously another rave thread too with a more ravey title 😂 )

To be honest I think even the 'bashing' she gets here is nothing really to do with her and just the same general gripes that a lot of 'influencers' receive.
