Put someone in who's blind, who's deaf, in a wheelchair, mixed race, dad bods, size 14+ etc.

It's just clones of past contestants where they are all in gym shape and run of the mill looks wise.

How are the ratings holding up or are they still blaming Football and Tennis for them.

I agree about diversity, but I’d worry about contestants who are deaf/blind/disabled etc. I can imagine it must be isolating in ‘everyday’ life, but what are the chances of someone else in the villa being able to use sign language? Or no how to interact with someone in a wheelchair without being condescending? I also think they’d (rightly) have a lot of support from the public, and worry that other contestants would see it as an easy pass to the final.

(I hope I worded this okay, please correct me if not!)

We definitely need some ginger representation though - has there ever been a proper redhead on LI? I’m talking bright ginger hair, pale skin, covered in freckles.

I think a lot of people don’t want to go on LI which is one of their problems. People see how often it pans out with online hate etc and regular folk just don’t wanna do it which in turn makes increasing diversity hard because they can’t get the interest from the people they need. Hope this makes sense!
 
Ugh I'm so bored of this series, I love Love Island, but it's just not working for me this year. I don't know if it's the Characters this year, i've changed due to lock down or what...

I really would prefer to see some regular shaped, slightly older (ready to settle down (27-35 wish) people. Who actually want to find love... i'm finding the whole thing a bit boring.
I also think the producers have been really irresponsible giving us more of the same. No offence to 21 year olds but you have to be careful what you wish for and instant fame isn't all parties and money...

A LIME GREEN Aston Martin, how trashy. So desperate for attention you'd want a lime green car 😳 Hugo was dead right, I wouldn't take her home to meet my parents either 😂

So Brad is going to dump Rachel for one of the new girls, Rachel would be very naive to think Brad or Chuggs was trying to hook up with her purely because they like her and not to stay in the villa. Rachel is attractive and seems like a nice girl but these men were put in a position where it was hook up with Rachel or go home, how could Brad commit to Rachel after 24 hours of getting to know her.
Jake and Liberty, if any of the new girls show an interest in Jake he will pie Liberty in a heartbeat. I think it's best to happen sooner rather than later because it's inevitable imo.
Kaz and Toby, opinions? Is it genuine?
Chloe and Hugo? Chloe has become less annoying because she basically got no air time the last 2 episodes. Last night she was shown for about 30 seconds.
Faye and Liam, ew them kissing 🤮 they will be over v soon.
If two new girls are coming in it will probably be the lads choosing in the next recoupling, opinions on who is going home next?

I think one day at a recoupling someone should say "I don't want to be with any of these wo(men), I'm not picking XXX because although (s)he is a great friend I can't see myself spending the rest of my life with him/her" - "I chose no-one... bring in someone else! NEXT!"

I agree, I think Brad is probably the best looking lad in there in my opinion. Saying that, it is painful listening to Brad trying to speak😂 despite his accent I can understand him perfectly, he just doesn't have a lot to say and can't put a sentence together.

I think Demi last season was naturally ginger but you couldn't see her freckles or pale skin with all that make up and tan on. Being pale is frowned upon in LI, as Faye says she can't think of anything worse than being pale 😳😂
I think if they wanted to be more diverse in terms of body types and ethnicities they would have to have more average people in there, you couldn't throw a fatty in with that lot. They would be out at the next recoupling.

Tbh I know a range of diverse people who were told they didn't have enough energy and didn't have enough followers so yeah.

The diverse are applying, the casting team just don't want them and watching Aftersun yesterday I can see the production team has not one ounce of diversity.

Interesting, what were they like? I wonder what they look for, because they aren't very good at casting islanders. I see better people on Instagram on a daily basis.

They had energy so I was confused about that and they had about 2k followers not much (for love island) but yeah. Good jobs so instagram include travel pics, gym pics (from the lads), going out etc. So yeah they were showing they live life but mmm as I said, I saw the casting team so it adds up

I don’t understand why people need to have a certain amount of followers.. it’s not like people aren’t going to watch the show because we don’t know who they are.. we don’t know who they all are anyway! So bizarre

So I read the article and these girls are going for Brad, Liam and Toby. Let's see if Toby is still diving head first into Kaz after someone else shows him a little interest 🙄
No doubt Liam and Faye are done so Faye could be out seeing as both girls have an interest in Liam.
I think Brad will couple up with Lucinda (Brad is her first choice).
I think Millie will couple up with Liam.
I think Faye will be the next to leave LI as I think one of the boys will save Rachel if it's between Rachel and Faye going home.

Terry was a bombshell in Season 2 wasnt he? Feel like nearly every girl fancied him. Alex Bowen was a bombshell as well, same season.

Jamie Jewitt again bombshell.

For women in season 1 they sent in Cally who was gorgeous. Alexandra in season 4 was a bombshell too.

Im not getting that vibe from any of these islanders.

Chris (Chris and Liv S3), in his promo video you could see his Instagram posts only had 75 likes so I can't imagine he had a huge following, he was also a farmer (he said I live on a farm, presumably he also farms 😂)
Chris Hughes was a great islander, didnt have a huge following and didn't live a glamorous life style before LI.
TAKE NOTE LOVE ISLAND.
