There will be plenty of northerners who don’t like his accent, rest assured regional accents are UK-wide, not just divided into 2: the North and South.Jacques' accent goes through me like a knife. It's so strange how some regional accents are just incredibly repellant. I'm Southern English born and raised and I do notice I have a preference for accents from London/Home Counties - I would not at all be surprised if our accents in turn are just as jarring to, say, Northerners. I think it's perhaps that the cadence and sentence structure is so different?
For me perhaps it's that Southern English accents sound more authoritative and sharp? When Jacques flirts in his accent it sounds almost...whingey to me?
Obviously I'd be lying if I failed to acknowledge their are probably subconscious class conditioning aspects to all of this. It's endemic in our society. Stereotypes of the 'Cheeky, cheerful, salt of the earth but working class Northerner' and the 'Sterner, more aggressive but wealthier Southerner.' etc.
What did he say about Paige’s looks!?Jaxxxx talking tit about Paige's looks whilst sitting there still with his milk teeth

Paige is this years camilla, a hope she finds someone by the end.. I think her outgoing personality gets her friend zoned of the boysI'm behind because of living in the US but WOW, Monday nights' they REALLY stepped it up I thought.
This might get more interesting yet.
Couple of thoughts though:
- Andrew is too touchy feely. Looks like a feathery stroker.
- Dami going " but do you care, though? do you care?" was hysterical. Btw I just feel like Amber is not giving Dami a whole lot sometimes. It's like mentally she thinks the idea sounds good but her actions aren't showing it. She pulled away from his kiss over the tennis net
- ES did another 180 didn't she? I thought for sure she would go for Jacques the next day and then went all out when Davide decided to get jealous and step up his game. This new Italian guy... I actually fist punched the air because I feel like it's going to get tricky now I think.
-I feel bad for Paige because I feel like this is far from who she's going to end up with. So far she's been a second choice or afterthought a lot.
- I'm actually starting to feel a bit bad for Gemma because Luca is being so overbearing and putting his hands wherever he well pleases and it looks like she's scared to say no and doesn't know how to act. I also related to her a bit tonight when she was having a hard time opening up, then he made her feel stupid and she just wanted to forget even trying. Maybe this comes from being analyzed her whole life and seeing those around her be. That's a bit hard, really.
hes from the same place I’m from and I can confirm northerners hate southern accents we find southern mens voices more feminine then a northern one so it’s defiantly just preference although to me he sounds like he has a Yorkshire twang.. whereas a lot of Cumbrian people get asked if we’re scouse or geordiesJacques' accent goes through me like a knife. i thought the same, cant put my finger on it but hes a walking red flagI do not like the way he was gripping on to Gemma and knocking her into him. Bloody glad she calls him the wrong name because it soon got him to stop
I done that before in the throws of passion, oh dear. We did end up getting married though.... Then divorcedThe Gemma callling Luca jacques stuff feels so scripted. It didn’t look natural at all.
No I don’t either. Why is he doing that!!! He really is a prickI do not like the way he was gripping on to Gemma and knocking her into him. Bloody glad she calls him the wrong name because it soon got him to stop
Yeah to me he doesn’t sound like any other Cumbrian people I’ve metPaige is this years camilla, a hope she finds someone by the end.. I think her outgoing personality gets her friend zoned of the boys
