I've a love island group chat with my friends. I ignore it mostly cause its never as good as here.
However one of the girls is studying to become a life coach. She thinks the main issue with Luca and Gemma is they have totally different attachment styles and love languages. He's got an anxious attachment style whilst she has a secure one.
She's quick to say that doesn't excuse his way of speaking to Gemma at all and his behaviour but did say he is frustrated and is unable to express that in a constructive way. He needs reassurance and she doesn't ultimately. That's the bare bones of it she was more detailed.

I never would’ve thought Gemma would be a secure attachment type. She seems more avoidant to me. Too cold and dismissive to be secure.

Avoidant and anxious attachment styles attract each other like moths to a flame.

Exactly!! No ones trying to say that other islanders are lying because as i’ve said 1000 times i’m sure luca has been nice enough to them. The whole fucking point is that he hasn’t been nice to majority of the girls in the villa, it’s common sense ffs 😭

I don't dispute your points other than the editing.

It's a heavily edited tv show, everybody who has ever stepped foot in the villa will say that.
 
Clearly they absolutely edit stuff, of course they do. You can show a shot of Gemma looking bored/ like she's desperate to get away/like she has the raging ick next to an entirely unrelated shot of Luca doing something - to make it look like that's her reaction to him. I think we're all intelligent enough to know that's how TV works :)

But when he's speaking the words from his own mouth, like telling Gemma to fuck off, or actually making the gestures, or laughing and pisstaking when he's on screen with others so it's totally apparent what it relates to - that's no edit that is ALL him.

I'm sure he's nice to some people face to face (and doubtless pisstakes behind their backs), he's a bully but most bullies are cowards really, he's only ever horrible in a group when he feels people have his back (like with all the shit on movie night) or more often just to Gemma who's his real target.

And even a stopped clock is right twice a day - or in Luca's case, even a narcissistic cunt can be pleasant and friendly twice a day.

Sorry, what is your actual point here? I think everyone is well aware that it’s an edited tv show as we obviously don’t see all 24 hours do we? But you are trying to justify Luca’s actions by claiming it’s “heavily edited” and by saying that other islanders have said he’s nice, which is bullshit imo.
 
The Casa amor girls trying to cling on to every last bit of relevancy before the OGs come out. Summer may have developed a friendship with Indiyah but don’t remember considering her when she waltzed back to villa after being picked by Dami. As for Coco, the less said the better, thank goodness there is actual footage of her making a mug of herself otherwise she would be sat saying all sorts.

Had to laugh when she mentioned her publicity shots and how awful they made her look, they just took a pic and didn’t add filters Coco, like every other pic of you!

I'll put my mate over it again it was a long old voice note will ask for a more concise version 😂. Did a wee Google there and I can totally see where you are coming from with avoidant although I see elements of secure too. She's a hard read that girl!

I wish he wouldn't. I don't think he does (not to say he won't in the future) but I want them to win all the same.
It's off putting to me when they all start this crap cause they think its what we want to see.
Think I will spent most of tonight scrolling on here cause they will all be at it in some shape or form.
