Actually I do not condone jax or his behaviour but adhd can cause mood swings, aggression, impulsive behaviour and struggles with emotions. It is a high pressures environment and I’m shocked they allowed him on the show tbh. I have a feeling they didn’t actually know and now his family have released this statement he has been advised to leave but they cannot make that knowledge public

This makes perfect sense. I don't think there was a blow up between Jacques and Adam. Adam looked shocked when Jacques announced he was leaving and then asked the girls if it was because of him. I think the legal dept @ ITV found out about his ADHD and did not want to take a chance of any repercussions. I do think ITV has made a lot of changes since the suicides of Sophie, Mike and Caroline (RIP) They are being careful and protective of their brand.

Surely itv knew about his adhd.
it must have been disclosed before is going in. Like previously mentioned, itv are more cautious when it comes to mh issues from experience with past contestants etc.

it would becompletely careless if his official diagnosis of adhd went completely unnoticed.
They must have known about it, but though duck it, he’s Gemma’s ex, get him in, we will ‘deal with the consequences later’

Im convinced antigoni didn't go in there for love she just went in to further her music career
WHAT?!? A Love Island contestant who's just a famewhore and not there for love? Adonbilivit.

standing by what i said in a very early thread - luca would drink gemma's toilet water if she forgot to flush. that man is love bombing her and bc he can't trust himself around women (those saffron barker rumours) he's projecting that onto her and other men. befriended her ex jacques to keep him close but then realised they're two peas in a pod bc unfortunately her type seems to be dickheads

That was drug out to hell, why was it so boring. It took him a century to actually leave and then no preview?

Surprised he actually left though, which season was it someone bluffed about leaving to garner sympathy?

I'm so upset that Indiyah is basically back with Dami. NO, she is so mature, really wise and deserves way better. Did we not even see her talk to Deji/ tell him why it wasn't going to work? wtf

Yeah, ADHD isn't a reason to not let someone on the show or to kick them off it if it was unknown. It's not a mental health disorder, either, although it can often pair with anxiety, depression etc.
Jax didn't seem like he was feeling that stable, maybe that's all there is to it. Or maybe he fell foul of one of the big LI no-nos and tried to smack someone in the face. But I guarantee he's not the first Islander to have ADHD, can't be that.

Wow... saw that clip someone shared a few pages back of Jazmine talking about what happened with Coco and Andrew. In addition to finding out what actually happened with Jacques, I want to know what's up with that.
They did Jazmine SO SO dirty. Why on earth would you change last minute to coco if you had spent the whole day talking about and to someone else?

And I just really feel bad for Jazmine for ZERO air time ! I bet that drama was worthy enough to air for the audience isn't it? Don't know what's going in the mind of the producers

@Dollenganger I only responded to you directly because you quoted me and then began discussing conflation etc. ( I’m not trying to be rude or have a go here, just to answer your question. I assumed your post was aimed at me because you quoted me)

It is beyond frustrating that people make those assumptions especially when there is no evidence, and it’s evident of how little neurodiversity is understood/ effort is made to truly understand in the wider world. I wish I had a practical idea on how to change this aside from personally correcting people if it comes up - this seems to annoy them and they will carry on believing what they want anyway🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, I do understand where you’re coming from. Unfortunately, my theory of mind is not great 🙈🙈 so I will sometimes forget that other people are not privy to what I have been reading / talking about for the last week or two. 🙃 my apologies.

I’ve seen a lot of stuff being said on Social media about “be kind” and yes I agree whole heartedly. However, I think people like to throw the whole meaning of it and mental health around when they feel like it. Especially when it comes to someone like Jacques.

I agree. Jacques hasn’t been kind to anyone. He’s come across as a misogynistic bully. It’s time people stopped using this bekind business to absolve someone their responsibility for THEIR behaviour.

My 20 year old step son who lives with me with has extreme adhd, he’ll be on medication his whole life and he can be very tunnel visioned in areas and at times self centred and focused. however he is always kind and if we have a word about him being dismissive or impulsive, he understands and doesn’t repeat that over and over.

He actually appreciates being treated ‘normally’ and not excused for having adhd, sometimes you can just be acting lazy, or inconsiderate.

I thought when he read that letter out to Paige he was going to explain why he can’t articulate himself well.

Like others. It does make me wonder if they’re doing the mental health assessments though.

And I do find it weird he was besties with Luca. I imagine it was to control the narrative.

He’s upset at Paige talking, Can you imagine how poor Danica is feeling being rejected over and over!

I did feel sorry for niall aslam to begin with but his tiktoks did annoy me .however I now have no sympathy for him as he complains about love island said it ruined his life but then a year later did ex on the beach us version to go in for georgia steel ? Like I don't understand why he would complain about a show but then go in a similar show a year later ? 😆😆😆

If he has a diagnosis of ADHD they would know. They get a full copy of the contestants medical history.
I highly doubt he has a diagnosis.

The guy was a dick from the moment he arrived.

He was aggressive to Jay with the 'small for a rugby player' comment which was shown, bullied Remi(which wasn't shown), spoke to Ekin like she was tit...this all happened in the first week. He's had a really good edit in the last 20 minutes but the mental health card just doesn't wash with me, he's an aggressive violent dick who will be a nightmare on a night out and behind closed doors. There's simply noway he hasn't or wouldn't beat a woman.

Gemma's parents have done a good job, Jacques has done a tit job.
