I don’t know if anyone else does it, but I’d say 90% of the time I fast forward the dates on Love Island. They’re the one part guaranteed to be super staged with the questions they ask. The only one I watched from beginning to end this year so far was Luca and Danica purely for how awkward it would be!

I think that's why she was such a fan of Jess on series 1. Jess screamed at people, threw violent tantrums, threatened to punch people in the face etc and Caroline kept saying how she loved her. I think she saw herself in her - unlucky in love, disrespected by men but not afraid to fight back . I never understood why the public loved Jess so much, but then I hate Luca and Jacques and they seem to be really popular so what do I know?!

I just remembered Sharon from last year and the one who kept banging on about how she was a civil servant and making out she was this high end career woman. In ireland while a civil servant is a great number I don’t think I’d associate it with being a boss girl bitch like she was making out - is it the same in the uk?

She was also a melt but I did feel a bit sorry for her when she was voted out. This years cast really highlight how crap last years were.

Quite so, I’m not saying some of her own behaviour wasn’t questionable but she slowed down and rose above by so much, if anyone hasn’t seen the series Jess was pied by two men for the same girl, horrible enough in actual life but on national TV

What is even the point of the 'dates'? I thought they would do some nice activity to help them bond like jet skiing or horse riding but all they do is sit somewhere and drink (supposed) non-alcoholic Prosecco (two words which should never be said in the same sentence IMO!) they don't even eat a meal etc. Even a cooking class would be something they could do together?

I mean they can sit somewhere with a drink and talk at any time of the day or night in the villa!

Okay is Iain relatively funny on that one? Cos I swear I used to find his commentary amusing in the first few years but it’s really grating on me now.

Agree they really need a new presenter. Laura is not the one!

Iain used to absolutely rinse all the islanders and it was hilarious! After the unfortunate events surrounding Sophie Mike and Caroline I think the show made him totally tone down all his jokes.

Also I saw a tweet that said ‘Paige always talks like she’s doing a tik tok’ and I can’t stop thinking about it why does she do that with her voice when she speaks to someone it sounds so false and rehearsed lol

Also on the subject of voices Danica does always talk like she's doing a business deal something , she doesn't seem to have a normal conversation i can't explain it but it's odd

They used to. I’m sure paige and Finn went horse riding. Someone defo did. They’re not great this test. Such a waste of screen time

When Caroline actually did the show she was slagged off all the time and was really disliked. She didn’t bring anything to the show and that walk was/is just stupid. People only changed their tune once she had passed, but do exactly the same thing to Laura.

Its a shame. I was a Caroline fan, still am. But Laura IS lacking that spark Caroline had for me there’s just something missing

Can’t stand Antigone, really really hope she goes tomorrow night , Tasha was my least favourite but Paige and Antigone are now my least fave but I know Paige will be kept in and it annoys me so much that the public can’t seem to see through her, like she’s clearly not this nice sweet innocent girl I actually despise her. She needs to go but I’ve a feeling for whatever sick reason her and jack a won’t be gone for ages and it disgusts me ekin sun and Davide for the win - I know they won’t last outside but still I’d love to see them win this . I’d love to see the others absolutely sickened if ekin su wins. Obviously ekin su is playing a game but they all are and at least ekin su isn’t a mean horrible human like a lot of them in there! So glad danica has ekin su as a friend In there . I didn’t have any opinion of danica untill that last episode the way the girls / boys are treating her makes me want To see her do well now. I want jay and Antigone gone and Jaques and Paige please god . Hope Charlie gets a lil more time at least he’s a nice person even if he is a bit boring! Jay is a snake can’t stand him either he purely wanted Antigone Claude he thought she’d be more popular with the public. He has zero interest in her either.

I’m on holidays and I met a group of 19 year old girls and started talking to them about love island and straight away they were like “img Luca and Gemma and Paige and Jacks are so cute hope they win” and I’m just like really?? Like how do they not see though Paige and jacks
