Erm not so sure he actually has tbh. To me it looks like she’s taking things that have been previously joked about and is twisting them to make him look bloody awful. She wasn’t able to answer him when he asked when had he ever said those things. Me thinks she is doing the gaslighting here. Wanting everyone to think she is the victim when she really just wants to win with or without him. I didn’t really like Jake but I now feel sorry for him he looks so confused with her comments not ok to paint him the way she is if it’s really not the case IMO. She is not what she is pretending to be she’s playing a great game by the looks of it and her ugly crying is fabulous

I dont think I have commented on this thread and hope its ok for me to do so, but regarding what you are saying,I dont think you can fake the sudden realisation of your LJibbertys] relationship is onesided as was seen on Libertys face in the hallway when Kaz and Taylor were going on their date .

I think you are right.
Hoping she sticks to her guns though and tells him to piss off. It was very uncomfortable watching her trying to justify his behaviour.

Eww at the people saying Liberty's made up those remarks she noted when she spoke to jake that we didn't know about, just because we haven't seen him say them, it's not exactly hard to piece it all together considering what we have seen!

Cunts like him are textbook and we've seen enough. constantly laying their little jabs into conversations, dull conversations, everyday stuff, slowly but surely chipping away at your confidence. She also didn't say she'd changed as a result (lipstick etc) she said she felt like she couldn't be herself and he's made her feel self conscious and not want to do/wearthose things he doesn't like.

Lipstick - we've seen him wipe away nearly every kiss she gives him
clothes - he has very clearly made comments like 'i like women who wear xyz,. I don't like shoes like that I like classy heels'. I can well imagine him giving big talks on what stuff he finds hot on OTHER women, instead of, you look amazing in that.
Compliments and generally being nice to her - We have seen him the entire series find it impossible to compliment her AT ALL. Some of these men are constantly complimenting and almost gushing about the women they are with. He has nothing to say because he doesn't fancy her or even like her!

I've seen him so many times so visibly irritated by her in both group and couple situations, either just by her speaking or touching him. And that last clip by the pool taking the selfie was a double whammy, he cannot bear to listen to or be touched by her. It was very simple and obvious body language.

Whereas with her you can see she idolised himz her face dropped so many times in so many clips. Sometimes obviously, sometimes subtly. He has never ever validated her feelings, never. He's fobbed her off. And even after all of this she still tells him she doesn't want him to change. I'm not saying this because I like her, I don't.

Agree with all of this- very well put! I don’t love Liberty but I think she has tried a few times now to question these things. His reassurance came in words not actions. I don’t think he should be strung up or anything, but maybe he will meet someone else and realise where he went wrong I.e. not be able to keep his hands or eyes off them… He reminds me a bit of my ex husband. I would try so hard to get his attention in a sexual and flirty way. He would laugh at me and make me feel unwanted and stupid… but we would go out and he would talk, laugh, dance and do shots with other women (not cheating- mutual mates) and I used to think 🤔 Why aren’t you doing that with me? It really wore me down over the years and destroyed my confidence and self worth. He’s a lot older than Jake but I think if Jake can look at this, listen to some good people and have some better experiences then he could end up ok… Likewise Lib will have someone fall over themselves to show their love to her.

As someone with BPD I would like to say that in my opinion no one (as a viewer) could possibly diagnose Faye with BPD. It is a very complex thing and the reality is, she is not in an ‘everyday’ situation. BPD impacts everyday life, big stuff and small stuff, consistently and over a long time… it is not fair to put someone in these situations and judge them as having a mental health condition based on the way they react to it.
I’m sure lots do not agree- but as I’m on one tonight I just wanted to share my opinion on the matter xxx She may have some complex issues or she may just be very gobby and reactive… As we are seeing an edited show we really can’t know for sure… Love the banter and the memes and the lols, but do we have to slap a diagnoses on it???

I am actually proud of Liberty for walking away when she clearly didn't want to. Jake makes her feel like she is unattractive and unworthy, no one deserves to feel that way. She knows from her conversation with the girls that his "I love you" was just lip service and the pieces have all now fit together. I don't think he likes her at all most of the time and I think he sees her as lesser than him and she can see that now.
When she said "I hope you can find someone who's not messy", he laughed and agreed and had to stop himself from listing her other flaws, before doing an equivalent of patting her on the head and telling her not to be hard on herself. He didn't even try to fight for her or even muster up any kind of compliment.

I think her family and friends will be really proud of her. Their relationship is one of those situations where no one can tell you how bad it is, you have to see it for yourself. She's been super naive throughout but this is a huge thing to initiate and hopefully stick to, it shows growth and her prioritising herself. I hope she learns from this for future relationships. I'm a bit jealous tbh, I'm a lot older than her and I wish I had figured it out at her age!

I have really lost my motivation to watch the last week. Do you think there's any chance she'll go back or do you think one or both of them are leaving the villa before Monday?

Also are they having family day in any form? virtually or anything?
 
I agree with everything Dom said in this. It has gone downhill a bit every year, this year being the worst, i’m actually disappointed. If they bring it back next year, I hope they make significant changes to the format and include real diversity.

Don't think it will ever go back to how it used to. The islanders are aware of public trolling so are obviously more aware of the cameras. They're also aware of the brand deals so won't bring the drama the earlier seasons did.
