The racist comments towards Kaz on her socials is totally out of order, I don’t understand why ITV haven’t said anything especially with all the mental health stuff they preach.

I was backing Kaz, hoping she would find love and win as I find her one of the most likeable out the bunch but it did annoy me how she thought she could string Matt along whilst having a go at Tyler for trying to have his cake and eating it too with Clarisse and being upset when Matt walked away because he didn’t want to share 🤔 double standards there.
 
What pisses me off is that even if they show Liam's clips on a screen that covers all of Spain and Millie's sat there with them all seeing what he's done, why do I still feel like she's gonna give him another chance?


Re Kaz: I echo other feelings that for me, race shouldn't even come into it at all. I'd like to think it never sways my opinions and that I focus on what counts in a person and what their character and behavior come off as. I'm aware I may still have underlying biases as someone who is white, and that's unfortunate and I'm always looking to clarify my thoughts and make sure I'm viewing people for who they are. However, the same putting someone on a pedestal is going on in the US version over here too with Cashay. She's strung along a few men as backups while being dead-set on one guy, much the same as Kaz, but there are loads of people( mostly on reddit) who feel like people are only mad because of the color of her skin. It's her behavior that's the problem!! and it's fine to call that out! Same as Faye being nasty, or any of the other blonde haired blue eyed girls in seasons prior that have been total PILLS.

I hate that any racist comments were made. That's just vile.

Kaz’s baby voice is relly annoying…the last few episodes have not been her best but thats the joy if the show, she might be back in top again in a few days! (I hope those horrible trolls dont get off easily either…surely instagram need to get involved?)

Hear on the radio yesterday someone said chloe and toby are like the harley quinn and joker of love island and its so true!! They are actually so cute and fun!

Am afraid for Liam tonight with the vidoes…actually not For Liam but for Millie as she will no doubt be hurt by the contents…
 
Watched an episode of this seasons LI for the first time since casa amour recoupling, kept up with the drama on here. I skipped straight to the last 15 minutes because I wanted to see the movie clips, I think with the video of Jake saying he doesn't find Liberty attractive combined with a tweet challenge saying he wants to win could rock the boat with Jiberty and I really bleeping hope that happens.
Love island still better do that tweet challenge 😂
As for Faye and Teddy, oh my god poor Teddy. He looked so hurt. Whatever he sees in Faye is beyond me.. I bet Teddy's family are screaming at the TV every night 😂 gross imagine having Faye as your sister in law. An absolute witch who thinks she is hilarious 🥱
 
Representation is important because it can be hard as a poc especially as a dark skin black woman to never see positive examples of people who look like you anywhere. People honestly do believe that poc are monoliths and that we do all think and behave the same.
Kaz messed up with his whole Matt thing as she wasn't interested in him. He knew that from the start when the only reason she spoke to him was because of the postcard.

I think Mary and Dale should go or Matt all boring and don't offer anything to the show. I watch to be entertained. Abby seems to have had a personality transplant and seems like a different person to the one who came in and pursued Toby right in front of Chloe's face.
 
Faye said Teddy isn’t funny but you can guarantee if he was a laugh a minute kind of bloke, she’d throw her toys out of the pram & say he’s never serious, everything’s always a joke!
She’ll come to realise in time she fucked up. If they leave together it won’t last long. She’ll be seen with an ex islander from a previous series or someone from TOWIE but she won’t find another good egg like Teddy 😍
 
I've been hearing a lot of talk about how social media companies are able to target coronavirus posts with warnings but don't use the same technology to screen for racism.
I know the coronavirus posts are still allowed with warning banners but surely they could have an algorithm which detects key racist terms, flag the post/comment, delete them and warn/ban the user.
I work as a software engineer and they could definitely set up a system which wouldn't even allow the user to post the n word/what ever racist terms there are i.e. The text of a post is screened before a user is allowed to post, if any of the words match a word in a dictionary of racist terms than the user can't post. I'm pretty sure TripAdvisor doesn't let you post profanities or takes down the post afterwards.

Maybe censoring what words people are allowed to use online falls into conflict with freedom of speech but I definitely think SM platforms have more power than what they let on.
 
Wonder how Faye’s gonna feel if she ends up in the bottom two of the girls and Teddie is not in the bottom two of the boys [no chance on earth of that].
Earlier in the series she was concerned Teddie was in the bottom of viewer votes and she wasn’t…. shoes’s on the other foot now.
I’m tempted to say karma but won’t….. (oops I just did😉).
 
There was a clip of Faye saying something “funny” (she found it funny, she laughed, it wasn’t particularly funny but that’s Faye’s SOH all over) to Sam & he told her to duck off. She cackled. When she told Teddy to bin his sandals, if he’d told her to duck off would she have found that hilarious?! Or if he’d told her to bin the whole of her wardrobe, plus her crappy brown lipstick, would that have been funny for her or would she find that rude?! Such a dick!

There’s being happy with representation and there’s using the race card to excuse everything Kaz does lol. People are commenting on her behaviour and stinky attitude not her skin colour, there’s no need for people to claim that anyone that dislikes her has an issue with her skin colour

Totally agree. I said something similar here back when she was very aggressive towards Brad. I saw that level of shouting as an immediate red flag. She goes to unnecessary levels of aggression very quickly. If you have ever experienced being around someone like that it becomes living on eggshells waiting for the next eruption.
