that's the difference between Darcy and Pearl - Louise has drummed into Darcy Doodles that she is a star, a triple threat, a truly talented dancer etc since such a young age that she has been filled with such an extreme sense of confidence that even in vlogs etc, it can come across as arrogance, so I dread to think what she is like amongst her peers, acting as though she is superior to them, simply because that is a belief Louise has instilled into her, when she is actually a fairly average dancer - and even more so when she is attending dancing summer schools with genuinely talented performers, as her attitude is going to lead to her feeling totally crushed when she isn't top of the class and cast in the starring roles she expects and believes she deserves. there have already been reports that she introduces herself as "Louise Pentland's daughter", which is. a huge diapksy of arrogance that won't do her any favours, and i actually think that underneath this confident front, Darcy is actually fairly insecure and anxious deep down - she has simply learnt to mask it, because it pleases Louise, and obvs all the support and praise from hundreds of her mother's loyal fans won't be helping, as they reinforce the belief that Darcy is destined to be a star, and fuels that false sense of confidence, which will all come crashing down around her in the future, and potentially destroy her relationship with Louise as she blames her mother.
meanwhile, Louise is so focused on Darcy that Pearl is often overlooked, and Louise dismisses her as "wild" when in actually, she seems to be a spunky little kid who knows her own mind, with an inner confidence that hasn't morphed into arrogance, and while she is a lot younger, she comes across as far more of an appealing character, which I hope doesn't change as she grows older.
