I’d love to see how Devon and Matt interact with Pearl. Considering how inclusive and lovely Liam seems to be with Darcy.

Devon's always been a psycho. I don't like Louise by any stretch but I can see why she'd give Devon some serious side-eye. I imagine they wouldn't interact much at all. It's a pretty different situation as Liam is engaged to Darcy's mum. Neither Matt or Devon have any connection to Pearl really. I'd hope they'd be nice to her on occasions where they did meet, but it's not the same case as Liam and Darcy.

I doubt they see her much and I don’t think there is much need to do so. Louise and Matt don’t seem to be amicable enough to spent much time together and work on a big happy blended family around Darcy. Which is ok. It might be better that way. The idea that divorced people need to go on big family outings all together with new spouses and children is lovely but not always achievable. And probably bloody hard work.
Liam, has to though. He lives in the same house as Darcy and is practically her stepfather. Devon is her stepmother. Pearl has not really anything to do with Matt and Devon. She isn’t staying with them or accompanying them to trips. And I doubt at this age Darcy would like to take Pearl on a day trip with her Dad, so there is really no reason to be more inclusive. Darcy is probably happy she can get some undivided, only Darcy time away from the weird matching by outfit, all cutesy glitter world, doing stuff only for her age. Don’t get me wrong, I think this poor child has to perform a certain role at both homes. Meek Ballerina, twinning a four year old at Louise’s and Marvel outdoor heroine at Matt’s. But at least she gets out of one regularly. I wonder what she actually really is like. I do think she likes dance. But to the same extent as her mother? Or is she liking stuff and then starts to like it more because they like it and she feels seen and loved? I just wish she doesn’t tear herself apart or beats herself up if she notices she isn’t into the same things as her parents. I do wonder if the not so amicable split of her parents made it worse or actually put her on that path. Neither Louise and Matt seemed to deal with the divorce great for quite some time. Pearl seems to have an easier time as she looks like a very strong character that can show her wants, needs and boundaries. Both girls seem lovely in their own way. Let’s hope their parents can appreciate that.

I wish she’d stop dressing her kids like some cast off royal family member and just let them have a personality in what they wear. (Obviously Pearl is too young to really decide what she wants to wear but Darcy dresses like a 50 year old house wife sometimes)

Louise has said that Pearl does tell her what she wants to wear sometimes. I don’t imagine it’s the things we see her wearing on lousies grid. Apparently she was obsessed with a jersey material rainbow dress in the summer so much so that Louise purchased it in the next size up for her to also have next year. It’s a complete difference to what Louise dresses her in!

Was cheering Pearl on when she chose "Pearl" to be written on the certificate rather than "Pearlie Pops". She's a child, yeah, but the nicknames are still patronising. I hope Pearl runs rings around her when she's older.

I know she gives a nickname to everything and everyone, but Sissy gives such snobby upper middle class vibes that it makes me cringe. (She refers to Darcy as Sissy, as in the sister of Pearl.)- Status
