I agree if you have money why not spend it. But I also wish she’d think more sustainably with some of her purchases choices. Especially when it comes to clothes and kids toys. She regularly buys cheap tat then has to do a clear out every few weeks because she’s bought too much absolute junk. Whereas instead of buying 20 toys for £2-3 each she could invest in something the girls would get longer out of playing with. And when it comes to clothes she could buy from well manufactured brands and ethical brands instead of just more new look junk. Just being mindful about overconsumption.

I agree with you she can afford to shop smartly and carefully

The overshare on Pearl I feel is really unfair. I had / have big emotions and they’re important to express, it’s much healthier than keeping them in.

My parents used to film me ‘having a strop’ as a child, so perhaps I’m particularly sensitive but she’s so young I don’t think anything needs sharing with however many strangers.

I haven't watched Louise in a long time as the exploitation of her children for money really turned me off. Curious if she's been back on TV since she was on Lorraine and Loose Women a couple of times? She seemed to be trying to get a regular spot on mainstream TV, does all that seemed to have flopped now?

That story she was telling on IG took foreverrrrr and I was waiting for the actual stressful part to kick in haha. So your small child was upset in the morning and then your partner took her to school, then it turns out you forget to give your older daughter her bag out of the car the other day - so you had to nip to school for 5 minutes to hand over her stuff.

I think I’d understand the ~drama~ if she worked full time in a normal job, but you were home anyway plus both of your children’s fathers are active parents, imagine a single mother who works full time somewhere in an office or hospital and had to truly navigate all of these logistics and bits and pieces completely alone, then I would be sympathetic lmao.

“traditional media opportunities” as she always called it. There was something recently where she talked about mingling and making connections for traditional media? Can’t remember what it was. Idk but she’s been banging on for years, ever since she kept campaigning for a spot on Strictly, and nothing has ever come of it. To have any chance she first needs to get rid of that wide eyed manic frozen grin thing she does every time she’s on someone else’s camera anyway.

Since a lot of you are talking about Louise's exploitation of Darcy and Pearl, I was just wondering if anyone is familiar with Jaclyn Glenn, since she doesn't have her own thread as far as I'm aware. She's a semi big youtuber who had a baby last year and she has literally shared every major moment of his life online. She even posted a youtube vlog of her giving birth to him, like set up a camera in a corner and filmed the entire thing. It's horrific and I feel so bad for that child who has literally no privacy. I know this is off topic so I'll delete if it's not allowed!

I did ballet as a kid, RAD grades and exams and all that. There were very specific leotards and tights we had to wear according to what grade we were in so I don’t understand what’s with all the expensive tutus? Does she just wear them for Instagram pics?
Yeah, I don't get it either. The outfits are pretty bog standard, you can't even play with the pattern of the tights. If Darcy likes dressing up for the fun of it, than that's fine but it really gets on my nerves how much Louise is trying to push the narrative that Darcy is the next Fonteyn. Let the girl enjoy something without making it her entire identity, I'm sure the girls would have fun with photoshoots around the house or with their friends but Louise is so wildly over the line as always, about everything to do with her children. I feel sorry for the girls, if my mother was doing the tit she's getting away with, I'd be resenting her till my dying day.

I think the wildest thing about it all is how infantilising it is for Darcy. While I don’t like the idea of 11/12 year olds being mini teenagers, the fact is they are not babies! They’re basically at a point where there’s only a few years of childhood left. But I feel like Louise dresses her up and parades her around online like she’s still a 6 year old.

I’ve said it before that she’s lucky Darcy is a sweet accommodating girl because my mum would not have gotten away with any of this with me when I was 11 haha. And part of the reason Louise likes to compare and make little digs about Pearl is because she’s much less compliant with ‘mummy’s vision’ and is more individually spirited.

In the rare occasions in vlogs where Darcy has been more ‘difficult’ Louise always reacts with such incredulity like ‘omgggg this isn’t you, can’t believeeeee she’s acting up’. She puts Darcy into this perfect angel box because she’s so ‘easy’. But sadly it’s the ‘easy’ kids you sometimes have to watch out for, and reinforcing that behaviour may just turn her into a people pleaser.

i agree , it’s like as if she can’t cope that Darcy’s developing her own personality

Those dance mom photos are getting creepier and creepier, the pointy toes, the hands on hips, the total disregard for privacy. For pity's sake Louise get your kids out if your spotlight and let them have a normal day with their mum! She's always saying she makes the vlogs so the girls can rewatch them, yes, do that, but do it for your own personal use, not for clickbait and making money!! What a cringy, uncaring mum you are sometimes!

Big tip for our favourite #DanceMum: in order to book a workshop, find out when they’re happening. Thanks Louise, we’d be lost without you.

I hate when these 'influencers' use the excuse of 'oh but my kids love watching them and want to watch them over and over' like yes. So do a lot of kids. In a lot of families. It's called home videos and a lot of families film them and keep them for the kids to rewatch when they're older. There's no reason she needs to put it on YouTube except for her own personal gain - if it really was ONLY for the girls, she could keep it on a memory stick or saved on a computer, or even put it on the girls own devices, just in the files section, for them to watch.

Something about Louise's latest stories is really grating me more than usual. I think that from what we've seen of her, Darcy seems like a really nice girl and I wish her every success if she keeps pursuing ballet, but it is a bit depressing to see all of this stuff she gets because her mum's an 'influencer'. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but it was only in the last year or two that Louise said Darcy became serious/passionate about ballet and she's getting to attend stuff like this when many girls have been passionate for far longer and won't get so many opportunities. Darcy's still very young, what if she loses interest in ballet in a couple of years and Louise will have spent so much money on fancy outfits and shoes?

I also worry that it might put a lot of pressure on Darcy- as others have said, Louise needs to let her just enjoy it rather than constantly parading her around Covent Garden. I bet she's desperate to get them free tickets to a Royal Ballet performance or get to meet the principals. When it comes down to it, Darcy will only be able to rely on her own ability in auditions, and if she's average or not as good as most of the other girls she might feel upset if Louise's constant hyping her up as the next Darcy Bussell has set her expectations high

you'd have thought that she'd have learnt from the fact she had to delete the IG account she set up specifically for Darcy's dancing because the poor girl was feeling too much pressure and just wanted to enjoy dancing without Louise essentially setting it up as her future career! 🤦🏻‍♀️

yet despite that, she still continues to force Darcy to pose for photoshoots and shares photographs and videos and details of Darcy's dancing all over her own account - which surely places just as much pressure on Darcy, knowing that so many people are following her progress and are so invested in her dance - she may even end up in a position where she wants to quit ballet, but feels she can't because she doesn't want to disappoint not only Louise - with the extortionate amount she's spent on tutus. and the way she's now defining herself as a "dance mum" - but also half the internet. that's a hell of a lot of pressure for an eleven year old! 😔

It’s seems like Louise has massively inflated Darcy’s love of dance. It’s a hobby, I grew up with multiple friends who did dance all throughout school and competed too. But it’s a hobby that lots of children do and Louise has just completely thrown loads of money at it and inflated it to seem like it’s Darcy’s whole life!

That's like not buying and driving a car in case you have a crash. I'm sure that plenty of parents have spent money on their child's hobbies that they have eventually lost interest in! Nobody would do anything if that was their attitude to life!
Getting into musical theatre is about who you know to a certain extent so Louise being an influencer could give Darcy an advantage. The RAD must have noticed her Instagram posts to invite her to that PR event. She is also friends with Carrie Fletcher who could realistically recommend Darcy for a role or an audition.
EDIT: Although I don't see all of this as black and white as some of you, I do think that Louise is living vicariously through the girls and clearly isn't 100% thinking through what she posts about them.
