So am I. People get these diagnosis all the time and their life partners stop what they're doing, put everything on hold, and look after them and support them, put the other person first. There's been none of that, it's been business as usual for her. If anything she's ramped it up a notch. I think it's a fundamental part of their relationship that he spoils her and treats her like a little princess and a little thing like him having a life limiting illness isn't gonna stop that.

I actually think stuff like that is wildly damaging. Influencer culture aside, it’s the whole notion that a woman should be kept, that it’s her right to have a car for doing less than the bare minimum and that love = expensive gifts. We know her followers won’t be the smartest, and these displays of toxicity will make them think that that is what a mature relationship is, when in reality it’s a simp of a man desperately pandering to a deluded woman who thinks she’s living in SATC.
