I find clothes shopping such a tiresome and frustrating experience. Nothing is interesting or inspired and as you say these floaty large print dresses are everywhere. They are also mostly the wrong length for me; midi stops right in the middle of my calves. But I don't see things in the shop and feel excited, it is all so drearily samey.
It’s depressing. It’s all such bad quality too. I went to Italy recently. The stores there are so much better. They have chains like Zara and Mango, and their own chains - but loads of independents. My husband struggles to buy clothes here but there were loads of menswear shops there. Internet and the Primarkification of the High Street have killed any sense of style we have in this country. If you want shapeless sacks and elasticated track suit bottoms, come here and shop. With the added bonus of polyester.

I bought a couple of tops, because they “will do”. Buying clothes used to be fun.

Shopping in Spain is just the same - no wonder shopping on line is so popular in UK now.

The thing is with online shopping, if you are an awkward shape (I.e me - I have to buy several sizes to see the fit or length) it is a frustrating experience, not to mention you need the funds to do it. Plus you can’t feel the fabric.

I saw a jacket the other day which really did give me a little leap of pleasure. But it was over 200 quid. I was tempted to buy it even though I wouldn’t normally spend anywhere near that amount purely because I know I won’t be spending much the rest of the year. I didn’t get it. There is nothing I want to buy. I need some summery tops, I bought two yesterday and they are now going to do me with my old ones. Can’t face looking.

Plus globalisation, same chains dominating.

The young ones add nothing. Women with life experience and stories to tell is much more interesting.

Katie Piper & Sophie Morgan have had experiences that most older people will never have in their lifetime

Older women like Linda Robson contribute diddly squat to the conversation

You need a mix of young and old as long as they have something to say

I totally appreciate that they have been through horrendous experiences. But they are not just their disabilities, they are people in their own right. What do they contribute on the whole as a person, putting aside their disabilities? They sit on the fence with most subjects.

I don't think I've seen Sophie on it but I think Katie's always good, she seems to properly prepare herself about the topics rather than someone likenlinda who comes on with no idea about the topics they are discussing
