Lizzy and Lindsey #9 The longing for a personality

Our girl who just happened to discover Guinness at the same time as everyone else did. At this point Lizzy is a parody. You can just imagine her strutting about wearing her Pearl Jam t-shirt with her The Style Council LP poking out of the paper bag thinking it makes her the bees knees, an edgy music aficionado, when in reality it does the exact opposite.

But surely there’s something not quite right with Lizzy’s TikTok? Is it really believable that her two ADs for Maison Margiela got such high views? 10.9M and 10.7M respectively, especially when most of her other view counts are quite low? I’m not convinced all those people only came for two MM ADs and didn’t stay for the party. If reed diffuser TikToks were that popular wouldn’t all of TikTok be making them?

I think with Lizzy you have to be mindful that what can be faked on social media, followers/views/likes, she probably does fake. Lizzy’s still buying Instagram followers but its to stop her follower count dropping.
I said it here before, out of my PR friends the one who worked with Lizzy said all her IG engagement was fake because outside of IG there was just nothing there. This is a few years before Covid too so its only going to be worse now.

tbf it's extremely easy to accumulate a lot of views on tiktok because it's the more people see it, the more people it will show on their fyp (every owner of a pet posting there can relate, lmao)... what matters is if those views are constant or if it's just a few instances and if they match the number of followers and comments in the long run

so if lizzy's video got into a bubble of blond, white and thin women, it's no surprise that it spread like a wildfire, however she is not and never will be able to turn it into a source of income because she has neither her niche (unless you count dressing as 6373 other girls on pinterest), nor a personality/knowledge that would make her stand out and attract people for her, not what she wears/has
 
Did anyone watch Lind’s return to YT upload?

I did. I don't think I've ever watched one of her original YT vids though so I have no point of comparison. She's way more articulate than Lizzy and doesn't seem as nonchalant. She's got more personality, more pep. Her explanation of Marni Rays was a little daft. Girl gets into surfing 18 months ago and just decides to organize a surf retreat? Please! Only wealthy people and influencers with a built-in audience could pull that off.
 
The TikTok algorithm is pretty wild; I’m not surprised Lizzy would have some freak numbers for a few videos. We know she only buys into a trend once someone else has popularized it, and Margiela tabis are all over the place right now. So someone clicks on a MM hashtag and she pops up in their feed and then another and another until, like @peppin said, it’s like wildfire. I’ll bet most of those people watched her video and moved on to the next. Nothing about her would make people want to stay.
 
Dunno about Lizzy, but I like Lindsey (in a way, that is). Yes, she is pretentious and a bit delusional with her surfing thing, but she has a an education and a career under her belt, and she is more fun than Lizzy. She also seems to make her own fashion choices most of the time rather than just buying into TikTok/Tumblr thinspo trends.
