She's completely incapable of seeing things from anyone else's perspective but her own. She likes organic vegan food, so it must be the best thing for her dogs. She likes designer cashmere, so it's a good present for someone's newborn baby. I came across a couple more articles she wrote in the past about people being inconvenienced by the dogs: Gracie scaring a blind person by barking at them in a pub, and an incident where Liz stayed in a cottage on holiday and was annoyed that the man next door didn't want her dogs coming into his garden around his children. Both times she whined "my dogs are just saying hello!" - she loves dogs so everyone else should accept her smelly, untrained collies. It just doesn't register with her why someone wouldn't want to be startled by an animal they can't see, or wouldn't want strange dogs around their kids. She's selfish, yes but she's also genuinely incapable of seeing anyone else's point of view
