I would say the timeframe for Lizard to fulfil setting a timeframe is by 1 February.

This BS needs to end. And, frankly, I know so much of her life now that I could run the substacks and writers' retreats from periurban Sydney.

When I say "run them", I mean actually produce them. I don't mean go running and talk about how they're coming soon.

And my general reminder that lots of "normal" middle aged women AREN'T spending time with husbands and children because there's lots of different ways of doing great life. I don't think that's the barometer for this thread.

How much time do you think Ms Fraser should have before demonstrating she has delivered whatever the paid subscribers on the Venice Diaries have been offered? For example, she's offering discount on the writing/running retreats, so she should publish the dates and prices within a certain timeframe. A month would be more than generous. What do other cleaners think?

It's not really good enough to ask for money with vague, undefined promises of discounts etc. She needs to be a lot more specific and business-like if she doesn't want to be accused of grifting.

The other day she posted that she has planned her activities for the whole of 2024, and she's said she has had 6 years to think about the Venice Diaries, so there shouldn't be much work to do there. I think the writing retreats have been talked about for at least 4 years, if not longer, so she should have completed all the planning and now just needs to get to the 'doing'. The dates should already be in her diary since 2024 has been mapped out. They need now to be publicised so people can decide whether or not to sign up in order to benefit from the discounts.

Liz would do well to operate within a framework of SMART objectives:

Specific
Measurable
Achievable
Relevant
Time-bound

Then maybe the things she often talks and dreams about would actually get done!

Always happy to help! #womensupportingwomen
Not the first high profile Venice Diary launch in a year. Mysteriously missing from her Substack!

And, how many of those 6 years has she lived in Venice? I’ve friends with a holiday apartment on a complex in Portugal. When they’re, they Lord it up over the rest of us mere holiday renters. The man, in particular, just embarrasses himself.

Anyway, these past 6 years…

Scout is just 6 and was born in Cambridge in 2017.
Scout was a toddler when they moved. 2019.
Lockdown was 2020 and Liz was in Oxford long before then.
Since then, she’s not lived in Venice.
She’s visited, numerous times.
Owns an Airbnb.
But not lived there or been there for more than a week at a time.
Even now she claims to be living there, but is frequently spotted in Oxford 🤷‍♀️
I’d pop your money down the drain. There will be more pleasure watching it disappear before your own eyes rather than hers.

I wonder if it’s worth alerting the police to another Liz Fraser scam before she rips too many off. I’ll at least register this on the Thames Valley Police website.

I expect the Venice Diaries is mysteriously missing from Substack so that Liz can go back and edit it, proofread it and write it properly. Most, erm, self-proclaimed writers are expected to produce a respectable piece of work after all. She’s always banging on about how writing is SUCH an IMPERATIVE in her life. Perhaps she could start doing it decently if that’s the case.

I am intrigued by the offer of writing retreats. Organising and pre-booking accommodation, arranging catering and food, liaising with guests to arrange flights and transfers, preparing a daily schedule - they are not an easy thing to set up. Given the history I hope that potential retreaters take out insurance against cancellation.

(Of course it could be nothing more than a blow up mattress and a banana in the basement?)

So, she’s apparently recording some podcasts (plural) for the Venice Diaries ‘over the coming days’. What, the coming 36,000 days? Podcasts have been promised across a vast array of subjects over the last several years, and not one single one has been delivered. Guest names have been boasted. Not one podcast recorded. I will be looking out for these podcasts (plural) over the next few days, Liz. Good on you! As the postie said.
She’s setting up in competition with the two Podcasts who just interviewed her. Classy. They got little engagement for her interview. Will she get any more for hers?

Of course: I've got 3 superb, inspirational female athletes lined up as guests for The Running Diaries pod.

I guarantee, one will be Jane Copeland, her new found woman hating virtual running buddy. They don’t actually run together or know each other in person, despite both living in Oxford. They’d hate each other. 😂

She has a two bedroom flat. I think it would be hard to run any sort of retreat from there unless she's putting everyone in to share a room together. And that would not be the sort of retreat I would want. Most people who offer these offer the choice of own or shared rooms, often own bathrooms or one shared with very few others. Excellent food. Expert instruction. This would be a very interesting writing retreat indeed.Bunk beds and cherry tomatoes?

I expect she will accept payment for said retreats, then find some excuse not to do them - she might say she’s near death, she hasn’t wheeled that one out for a while - and then say that she can’t return the money - sorry! More Jo Malone products and holidays will then be enjoyed.

Given past performances going back to Headcase I would tend to agree. If you Google Liz Fraser writing retreats you get a long string of promised dates on Twitter but nothing concrete. Let’s hope prospective retreaters do some research before they hand over a deposit…

Oh, she’s definitely been dumped. The last post confirms this. No sane person would “partner” with the person writing those words, in that tone, wheeling out the same photos (from years ago).

Oh dear, looks she’s been dumped, yes, with the ‘the fool is you, don’t stay in touch’ comment. I bet he got sick of her social media obsession and thirst for attention at all costs. It’s so clear that someone who has to tell the world how STRONG, RECOVERED and BLISSFULLY HAPPY they are every single day is just NOT. But the middle finger - she doesn’t have an ounce of dignity as a dumpee and can’t keep quiet.

@CloverFive I just googled the Liz Fraser Writing Retreats as you suggested, and as you say there are just lots of mentions over the years about how they are 'coming soon' or whatever. Never has a person blathered on so much, for so many years, yet delivered nothing. A pathological inability to see things through? It's quite child-like behaviour, like little kids informing you of some grandiose production they are going to put on for the adults, only for it to be two minutes of nonsensical giggling and not much else. (For which we duly clapped like seals!😁)

Also, the "Oh Hi There" and the middle finger post ....... it's aimed at somebody - or two people - for sure, but I'm not thinking it's the recent pretend boyfriend .....

Just saying. ;)

As a Venice business owner, LF would infuriate me. She portrays the city as a backward backwater forgotten by time and innovation. A quick Google search reveals multiple gyms equipped with modern gear, not just makeshift crafted from food cans and tree branches!

We know she is not in Venice so why does she constantly post to imply she is. "It's rained so much. We miss the light." Why the we when she isn't even there to miss it?

I know people with timeshare apartments who have spent more time in those over the years than she has in Venice since she 'moved there' six years ago and they would never describe themselves as 'living' in Spain or Portugal. It is extremely odd.

Oh love her 😅 Almost one year later, Unsilenced Sunday is now Secret Sunday 😂. I believe it lasted for about two weeks. At least people didn’t have to pay a “fivver”.
