How much time do you think Ms Fraser should have before demonstrating she has delivered whatever the paid subscribers on the Venice Diaries have been offered? For example, she's offering discount on the writing/running retreats, so she should publish the dates and prices within a certain timeframe. A month would be more than generous. What do other cleaners think?
It's not really good enough to ask for money with vague, undefined promises of discounts etc. She needs to be a lot more specific and business-like if she doesn't want to be accused of grifting.
The other day she posted that she has planned her activities for the whole of 2024, and she's said she has had 6 years to think about the Venice Diaries, so there shouldn't be much work to do there. I think the writing retreats have been talked about for at least 4 years, if not longer, so she should have completed all the planning and now just needs to get to the 'doing'. The dates should already be in her diary since 2024 has been mapped out. They need now to be publicised so people can decide whether or not to sign up in order to benefit from the discounts.
Liz would do well to operate within a framework of SMART objectives:
Specific
Measurable
Achievable
Relevant
Time-bound
Then maybe the things she often talks and dreams about would actually get done!
Always happy to help! #womensupportingwomen
Not the first high profile Venice Diary launch in a year. Mysteriously missing from her Substack!
And, how many of those 6 years has she lived in Venice? I’ve friends with a holiday apartment on a complex in Portugal. When they’re, they Lord it up over the rest of us mere holiday renters. The man, in particular, just embarrasses himself.
Anyway, these past 6 years…
Scout is just 6 and was born in Cambridge in 2017.
Scout was a toddler when they moved. 2019.
Lockdown was 2020 and Liz was in Oxford long before then.
Since then, she’s not lived in Venice.
She’s visited, numerous times.
Owns an Airbnb.
But not lived there or been there for more than a week at a time.
Even now she claims to be living there, but is frequently spotted in Oxford
I’d pop your money down the drain. There will be more pleasure watching it disappear before your own eyes rather than hers.
I wonder if it’s worth alerting the police to another Liz Fraser scam before she rips too many off. I’ll at least register this on the Thames Valley Police website.
