I took the Kelly comment to be more in line with the strength of her voice. Kelly hasn’t had huge successes recently, but the covers she does regularly are quite remarkable.

I think Kelly has a great voice but I don't think I've ever liked a single one of her songs, I agree they are dated. That being said, she shouts too much for me, I like Perrie's style more, I feel like she can achieve similar results without trying quite so hard tbh
